Our staff works incredibly hard every day to care for the animals of the Humane Society of the Black Hills, and thoughtful gestures like this mean so much. We are grateful not only for the delicious treat, but also for your continued support of our mission.

We love working alongside the wonderful team at Meadow Ridge Pet Lodge and are excited about the opportunities ahead to partner on even more events and community initiatives. It’s always inspiring when local organizations come together to make a difference for animals and the people who love them.

A huge thank you to Nothing Bundt Cakes for their incredible support of the Humane Society of the Black Hills!

We were honored to receive a generous donation from their Second Annual Benefit Day, raising an amazing $656.31 to help animals in our care. Every dollar of this gift helps provide food, shelter, medical care, enrichment, and second chances for homeless pets right here in our community.

What an incredible night at Black Hills Speedway!

On behalf of everyone at the Humane Society of the Black Hills, thank you to Black Hills Speedway, the drivers, sponsors, staff, volunteers, and every single person who stopped by our booth, met our adoptable dogs, and donated supplies to help animals in need.

We were absolutely overwhelmed by your generosity. By the end of the evening, our Sprinter van was packed from floor to ceiling with donations for the shelter. Food, cleaning supplies, toys, treats, paper towels, litter, and so much more—every item will go directly toward caring for the animals who rely on us each day.

Beyond the donations, we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing community event. We loved meeting so many supporters, sharing stories about our animals, and watching people connect with our adoptable pups throughout the evening.

Your kindness helps provide shelter, medical care, enrichment, and second chances for hundreds of animals each year. Thank you for showing up, giving back, and proving once again what an incredible community we have here in the Black Hills.

192 ADOPTIONS. 192 LIVES CHANGED!

There are moments in animal welfare that make every early morning, every difficult day, every heartbreak, and every ounce of effort worth it.

This is one of those moments.

192 cats have walked through the doors of Coffee & Cats and into loving homes. 192 cats who now have warm beds, sunny windows, gentle hands to pet them, and families to call their own.

Every adoption is special. Every goodbye is bittersweet. We celebrate because an animal’s life has changed forever, even as we miss seeing them each day.

While we’re celebrating these incredible happy endings, a few wonderful cats are still waiting for their own chapter to begin:

🐱 Plus one mystery kitty waiting to steal your heart!

To everyone who has adopted, donated, volunteered, visited the Kitty Cove, attended events, shared a post, or simply cheered these animals on from afar—thank you. You are part of every success story. You are part of every second chance.

Because of this community, 192 cats have found where they belong.

And somewhere tonight, 192 former shelter cats are curled up in their homes, loved beyond measure.
