❤️ PROUD BREEDER MOMENT! ❤️

When you stop and think about it, TWO horses with Ruzsa Quarter Horses connections have done some pretty incredible things at the state level this past month! 🤩

🏆 Jessica Holmes & VIOLET (KINGS PARAMOUR)

Jessica and Violet won TWO rounds and placed 2nd in another at the SDRA Finals to WIN THE AVERAGE! And the winning doesn’t stop there! Earlier this year, Jessica’s daughter, Tommi, rode Violet to the South Dakota Junior High State Barrel Racing Championship! How incredible is that?! 🤩

Violet is by TRES KINGS and out of My Paramour (Sawyer Wood). Bred by Ruzsa Quarter Horses!

🏆 Brittany Grann & RIO (SAWYERS PAYDAY)

All summer and fall, I’ve watched Brittany gain quite the fan base as she’s hit the futurity scene! She’s taken it all in with so much humility, excitement, and a TON of grace. And here’s what makes her story even better!

Brittany bred her own mare to Sawyers Game Changer to produce Rio, and she’s put in ALL the work to get him where he is today. And this was her FIRST year EVER futuritying! How cool is that?!

Then, just this past weekend, I learned that Brittany and Rio ran the FASTEST TIME OF THE WEEKEND at the ND NBHA Finals and went home with a 3rd-place finish in the average! 🔥

Anyone who breeds horses knows it takes an army of people along the way to make these moments happen. But at the heart of these two stories are TWO incredible horsewomen who have put in the time, dedication, and hard work to make it happen. I couldn’t be prouder of Jessica and Brittany! ❤️

NOW HERE’S THE FUN LITTLE FACT…

If you’ve been paying attention, BOTH of these horses have Sawyer Wood blood running through their veins!

I’ve always said that stallion was ONE IN A MILLION. And the funny thing is, hardly anyone knows about our little best-kept secret up here in the North! 🥰

Moments like these sure make you proud of the horses you’ve raised, the bloodlines you’ve believed in, and, most importantly, the incredible people who bring out the best in them! ❤️🐴
