You don’t need a lot to have amazing walks with your big feelings dog. 

Not gadgets or tools that cause discomfort. 

Not 2 lbs of beef.

Not the opinions of your family, friends, vet and hairdresser. 

What you need is knowledge and a plan. 

And I’ve got those things for you.

Truly helping your dog heal from big feelings on walks doesn’t hinge on how many treats you give them. 
(And I say this as a trainer who loves to use snacks in training.)

But it also doesn’t mean you need to be “alpha” (or whatever) and hurt or scare your dog. 

What you need to do instead is establish a dialog between you and her. 

You need to learn to speak her language. 

You need to see the world through her eyes (and nose). 

You need to support her when she requires your help.

And you need to leave her to sort things out when she’s processing. 

This goes way beyond treats or training collars. 

It’s a connected, mutual endeavor.

It’s a trust fall, for both of you. 

And when it works?

It’s the most beautiful feeling.
