Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who ran toward danger to help others.

We honor the courage, compassion, and selflessness shown by so many on that day and we remember the strength of the communities that came together in the days that followed.

Yay! So grateful for BISSELL Pet Foundation's September Empty the Shelters event running from the 18th to the 30th 🩵💚!

Events like these help get pets home by getting rid of the adoption fee barrier, making adopting easy and accessible! Thank you BISSELL Pet Foundation!

Red knows his basic commands, is wonderfully food motivated, and LOVES going for walks! 🐾

He’s a nature loving pup who enjoys taking his time on sniffing adventures through the bushes, exploring the world around him, and soaking up all the sights and smells. When he’s not exploring, Red loves being around people and showing off his affectionate, playful side.

Adoption Spotlight: Meet our Long Stays, Cassie & Marrow 🔦

After the long Holiday weekend, we wanted to shine some light on our Long Stays, Cassie & Marrow!

Cassie is a gorgeous 9-year-old with a strong sense of self! She is an independent girly who knows exactly what she likes and is not shy about setting her boundaries! She enjoys a calm environment and thrives most in a home that has the patience and respect to allow her to do her own thing while still sharing space with her humans! She is also very content in offering quiet companionship on her own terms. And with catnip, her true softer side comes out! Cassie has been with us since March 8th and is ready to go home!

Marrow was last week's foster spotlight and has been with us since June 27th 2025! Marrow, a 9-year-old sweetheart who has perfected the art of being your very best friend. With so much love left to give, Marrow is looking for a cozy foster home where he can be spoiled and loved. Marrow is a smart boy who loves stimulating games like magic cups and touch command with a clicker. Take Marrow home today and enjoy the little moments of life together!

Happy Labor Day!!!

We have all been such good girls and boys 🐱🐶💚

Today is the day to celebrate all the work each and every one of us does day-to-day!

Take the time to spend it with loved ones and to appreciate each other and all we have to give to one another!

And thank you to those who have to go in to work this holiday! If you see someone who is working wish them a good day and thank them for their service 🐾

Finally, a reminder that today both our Shelter and Thrift Store Locations are closed.

HOME-TO-HOME SUNDAY 🐾

This Sunday we have a special Home-to-Home Case to share.

Meet Levi! Only available to Foster short term.

Levi's owner is currently in the hospital and in need of a home till his Dad recovers.

Levi is potty trained and pad trained. He's a smart boy that loves new friends, dressing up and cuddles!

Currently, Levi is being watched by his dad's nephew. But nephew is also caring for his own cat who has health issues and doesn't like small dogs (the cat, not the human)!

Levi hopes to find a stress-free situation with someone who loves a good time just as much as he does.

While we're working hard every day to help get animals adopted from our shelter, we also offer judgement-free assistance to our community when they need to surrender their pet.
