There’s something about the first cherries of the season that unlocks Pacific Northwest summer.

We brought in both Chelan and Rainier cherries from Wenatchee this weekend and I may or may not already be eating my way through inventory. No regrets.

The farm stand is finally starting to hit that point in the season where every table has something different on it — cherries, flowers, herbs, starts, honey, muddy boots, general chaos. My favorite time of year.

Sunday morning at the farm feels extra good right now ☀️

The peonies are starting. The first veggies are almost ready. The herbs smell incredible after watering. And every week the field looks a little more alive.

This time of year feels like one long hopeful exhale after winter.

Also, if you come home with “just one plant” this weekend… statistically speaking, that seems unlikely.

Current farm update:
1 - The teenagers still hate planting.
2 - The dogs still believe birds are a personal attack.
3 - And somehow we planted 600 dahlias anyway.

The Bloom Stand is filling back up with peonies, delphiniums, herbs, hanging baskets, and a bunch of plants I absolutely said I wasn’t going to grow more of this year.

Farm logic is planting 200 things and then acting surprised when they all grow at once.

The farm has entered that chaotic-but-fun phase where everything is suddenly growing at once 🌱

We planted nearly 600 dahlias, the strawberries are waking up, and we’re slowly rearranging the Bloom Stand into summer mode while trying not to trip over trays.

This weekend we’ve got giant delphiniums, Sarah Bernhardt peonies, hanging baskets, herbs that smell amazing, and way too many tomato plants.

Thank you again for showing up so big for Mother’s Day weekend. Seriously. Our family appreciates it more than you know 💛
