Busy morning at Renko! 🐾

We have a small group of kittens and mama cats getting fixed today — and many more scheduled over the next few weeks! Spay/neuter is one of the most important things we do to help stop the cycle and keep these babies healthy and safe. ❤️

As always, we can really use help with supplies to keep up with the growing number of cats and kittens in our care. Every donation makes a difference, no matter how small!

Thank you for continuing to support our rescue, our fosters, and the animals who need us most. 🐱💕

Your love changes lives every single day. 💕

To all the amazing women who comfort the scared, heal the sick, and give abandoned animals a second chance — thank you!

Wishing you a day filled with love, purrs, cuddles, and appreciation. ❤️

🚨 PSA: Ticks Are Out — Please Check Your Pets! 🚨
We just rescued a mom cat and her 5 tiny kittens, and sadly she had ticks. 💔

Ticks aren’t just gross — they carry serious diseases and can quickly overwhelm cats and kittens, especially those living outdoors. Kittens are extremely vulnerable, and even a small number of ticks can cause anemia or worse.

🐾 What you can do:
• Check your pets daily, especially around ears, neck, and under legs
• Keep dogs/cats on vet-approved flea/tick prevention
• Be extra vigilant with outdoor and community cats
• If you feed strays and you can handle them, take a moment to look them over — it can save their life

⚠️ Important: Never use dog flea/tick products on cats — they can be toxic.

This sweet mama is now safe and getting the care she needs, but many aren’t as lucky. Please take ticks seriously right now — we are seeing them more and more.

Let’s protect the ones who depend on us. 🐾💛

We are heartbroken to share that Gus was humanely euthanized. 😞

What we could see on the surface was only a fraction of what he was truly enduring. Once he received a full medical exam, it became clear just how extensive and painful his injuries were. Gus had multiple wounds with severe infections—a bite through his paw, injuries to his head, ear, and neck, along with a badly infected mouth and several broken teeth. He was also suffering from pododermatitis, a painful condition that causes significant swelling in the paws.❤️‍🩹

Even with a foster ready to step in, the level of care he needed—and the pain he was living with—meant that a quality of life was no longer possible.
Gus was a true feral who had clearly survived a very hard life. In the end, we were able to give him the one thing he likely never had—peace, comfort, and compassion. He did not pass alone.
Run free, big Gus 🌈🐾

No more pain. Only peace now.
