Congratulations to Stephanie - our Employee of the Month!

Hi, it’s Steph! I’ve been with AVECCC for just about 3 years and have really enjoyed growing on the critical care side and stepping into my role as a Charge Nurse. I’ve been in the veterinary field for over 12 years, with about half of that time spent in Critical Care/ER, which has truly become my passion. After years of being in the field, I decided to go back to school and become a RVT/CVT.

Outside of work, I have a wonderful husband, two kids, two dogs, and two cats - so there’s never a dull moment at home! Lately, I’ve also found a new passion in helping start and grow a blood drive in the West Valley, which has been incredibly rewarding! 💚

Hi everyone! My name is Tasia and I'm one of the mid shift techs here at Peoria. Aveccc is the first ER I have ever worked at, and I love the amount of knowledge of you gain. Outside of work I enjoy playing video games, collecting oddities, and going for motorcycle rides to new places. If you ever see me around just say hi, I love meeting new people!

Meet Newly - our Patient of the Month! 🐕️

Newly is a 9 year old female Labrador who presented to AVECCC Peoria for trouble breathing and was initially treated with supportive care. Despite these efforts, her breathing worsened, and it became necessary to place her on a mechanical ventilator to help support her breathing. She remained on the ventilator for a little over two days before improving enough to breathe on her own. Following this, Newly stayed in the hospital for over a week, receiving around-the-clock intensive care.

During her time with us, she truly won the hearts of all our technicians and doctors with her strength and spirit. We are happy to share that Newly was able to return home to her loving parents, with a plan in place to follow up with our friends at Desert Veterinary Medical Specialists for continued care.
