There’s a difference between taking a lesson… and having a coach.

A lesson can fix something in the moment.

A coach helps you build something over time.

When you stay in a coaching relationship, your trainer starts to see patterns you can’t see - in you and your horse.

Your habits. Your reactions. Your strengths and your blind spots.

That’s where real progress comes from.

It’s about having someone who can guide you through the ups, the plateaus and the setbacks - without starting over every time.

Partnerships aren’t just built with horses;they’re built between rider and coach, too.

And when that relationship is consistent, honest and committed - that’s where dreams are realized.

The BRF dressage team had a fantastic outing at ODS at Bravehorse this past weekend.
Hannah Wilson and Verlaine started us off in their first PSG tests, qualifying for regionals and earning Hannah her silver medal! We are so proud of this team and will miss them as they head off to college this week! Congrats Hannah and we hope you and Verlaine have a great first year at Otterbein! 🎊🎉
At second level we had Shannon Conway and Delano who had better and better tests as the weekend progressed finishing with their best score at 2;3 and a blue ribbon in the AA division. Well done Shannon and Delano 👏🏻👏🏻
Julie Weitzel and Mouse also did 2;3 and made fantastic progress with their confidence in the actual show ring finishing with two of their highest scores at this level. We are very proud of all the hard work you’ve put in and the progress you’ve shown 🐭
On Sunday, Holly competed Carla Krebs’ Troubador at 2;3, finishing 2nd while Carla attended a family event in Columbus. Troubador has been in the BRF family for a very long time, first as her daughters event horse, and he is a reliable team mate for Carla.
At first level we had Carla and Troubador who finished 3rd in a 3 way tie for 1st place in AA 1;3 with some of their best scores at this level. This team has also made a lot of progress in the forward department and look very polished in the show ring 🏎️
Hallie Goss and Apollo joined us Sunday and had two phenomenal 1;3 tests with scores over 70%, winning the AA division. They are a stunning pair to watch and we’re excited to be part of their journey 🚀
Chelsea Wright and Finn tackled the training level test with poise and they really shined in the ring. They earned scores in the upper 60s with wins in the AA division. They are still getting to know each other but have shown a lot of growth together already. We’re excited for their future as well 🏆
Jeffrey and Julie Zdolshek’s Pete competed in training level tests with great scores and they earned the tip award. This young horse is really learning to shine in a show environment. We look forward to Julie taking over the reins at the shows soon 🏆
Holly and Baileys earned 4th level high points both days with fluid and relaxed tests. On to regionals 💃
Holly and Titan also earned high point at 1st level both days as well as Hanoverian high point and overall show high point both days. We’re so excited to have this handsome guy back in the show ring after a year off to grow and mature. Also on to regionals 🥇
Many thanks to ODS for a well run show with friendly staff and volunteers. We enjoy coming to these shows every time!
Thanks to the weather gods as well that kept all of our ride times clear of rain ☀️
Lastly, huge thanks to Tracy for driving down early Sunday morning to be our personal barn photographer. There are not enough words to express how much we appreciate your time and beautiful pictures 📷

We have a new Bronze and Silver medal achievement at Blue Ridge Farm
Alexis Miller and her horse Chaplin got their bronze. This has been a long process for her as Chaplin sometimes has a mind of his own but through persistent hard work they have achieved their goal. Congratulations!
Hannah Wilson has accomplished earning their Siver medal.
Her horse Verlaine was a Verden Elite sales purchase for Blue Ridge Farm as an approved Stallion.
He was imported to start his dressage career as a 3 yo.
Holly started with basics and then handed over the reins to me.
He proved a quick study and was soon showing and earning scores over 80 percent.
He was lucky to find his way to the saddle of Hannah Wilson.
Hannah started her journey with Verlaine at third level earning several Jr horse of the year awards.
Moving forward she has guided him through 4th level and now PSG with great results.
This team has been a joy to train. Congratulations!

The BRF combined dressage and event team had a wonderful and successful day at the NODA schooling show! Lots of firsts for both riders and horses and plenty of good scores! Some of our event team kiddos joined for their first outing and showed us all how it’s done! We are so thankful to have a local competition that is affordable and accessible for all. Thank you to all at NODA for hosting and to Chagrin Valley Farm for sharing your lovely farm!
