Azalea stopped in to celebrate NINE years since she hit the adoption jackpot, and she came prepared to celebrate properly. 🐾🎉

And by “properly,” we mean a whole bunch of treats. Because after nine years of being adorable, loyal, and presumably running the household, one treat simply isn’t going to cut it.

But today, we don’t want to focus on the goodbye. We want to remember everything that came before it. The goofy habits, the favorite toys, the trouble they got into, and the little things that still make us smile when we think of them.

🚨 GRATEFUL DOG BAKERY POLICE REPORT 🚨

SUSPECT: Lula Mae
OFFENSE: Theft of a Happy Howie’s Mini Burger
STATUS: Habitual Offender
MOTIVE: Burger
REMORSE: Historically absent

INCIDENT REPORT:
Lula Mae entered Grateful Dog Bakery today and did what Lula Mae apparently does when presented with a Happy Howie’s Mini Burger:

She stole it.

Again.

Investigators would like to make it clear that this has not been an isolated incident in quite some time. Lula Mae has an established history of burger-related offenses and appears completely unwilling to reconsider her life choices.

When questioned, the suspect offered the following statement in her defense:

“If burger not for Lula Mae, why burger Lula Mae-sized?”

Investigators were, once again, unable to formulate an adequate response.

EVIDENCE: One missing mini burger.
MODUS OPERANDI: See burger. Take burger.
REMORSE: Absolutely none.
REHABILITATION PROSPECTS: Poor.
LIKELIHOOD OF REOFFENDING: It’s Lula Mae. Come on.
BAIL: Denied. She’d probably steal that too.

Happy International Dog Day! 🌎🐾

Today we celebrate dogs everywhere. The good dogs. The naughty dogs. The dogs who have never done anything wrong in their entire lives despite overwhelming photographic evidence to the contrary.

The couch hogs. The treat inspectors. The professional crumb detectors. The 70-pound lap dogs. The dogs who bark because a leaf had the audacity to move outside. The dogs who follow us into the bathroom because apparently privacy is dangerous.

They make us laugh, keep us company, cover our clothes in fur, and somehow make an ordinary day better just by being there.

Do they deserve an entire international day dedicated to them?

Absolutely.

Do they also deserve to be celebrated the other 364 days?

Obviously. We literally built a store around the concept. 😂❤️

Tango celebrated the big TWO with a birthday cake made just for him, but he was sweet enough to share the celebration (and the cake!) with his sibling, Tinley. 💕

We love making cakes, but nothing makes us happier than getting to see our customers actually enjoying their special birthday treats. Those happy faces and empty plates are the best reviews we could ever ask for. 🥰

Back to school season has arrived! 🚌📚✏️

Many years ago, when Goose was just a puppy, he got his first taste of fame when he was featured in a Fromm back-to-school ad, riding the school bus like the very serious little scholar we’re sure he was. 😂

With school buses back on the roads, that old Goose ad inspired us to bring a little back-to-school fun to the bakery with a brand-new photo backdrop!

And our very first student to report for class? Presley! 🎒🐾

At 10 years young, Presley is clearly an upperclassman. He’s been around long enough to know the most important school rule: always stop at the bakery before heading to class.

The Back-to-School backdrop is up and ready, so bring your pup in and get their first-day-of-school picture! 🚌📸
