UMMMMM, EXCUSE US, but we are the adult cats here at True Rescue! We get it, kittens are cute and all and it IS "Kitten Season", but there are hundreds of us adult cats too, that need homes! Yes, we are a mixed bag of weirdos over here, but we can be YOUR weirdos, if only you'd have us! We have pulled out all the stops to get your attention with our poses (some of us went too far), so we hope this reels you in to come over and adopt us! True Rescue is open 7 days a week from the hours of 11-3 for tours and adoptions. Fair warning...if you come in these doors, you will likely be chosen by one of us to be our family, so you will have to oblige us. That's it for now, and from all of us adult kitties at True Rescue, we'd like to thank you for saving us weirdos, and we hope to become an extension of your weird families!

Good evening! We are RIKKI, TIKKI & TAVI, and we are super pleased to make your acquaintance! We were brought in to True Rescue by one of their fosters who found us at 2 weeks old, on her front doorstep. She doesn't know how we wound up there (nor do we), and after searching for our mama, could not find her. We had to be bottle fed immediately, and our foster mama kept us safe, fed and loved. We wanted for nothing, and have no remembrance of our outdoor life. It's an indoor, posh life all the way for us now! We are here to announce the weekly ADOPTION EVENT, taking place at PetSmart in Mt. Juliet, TN, tomorrow from 11-3. We are the only kittens who haven't announced themselves yet, but just to refresh, and let you know who is left from all of the litters to be adopted, here's the current list of adoptees for tomorrow's event:

Mt Juliet, TN. We have a scheduled intake to announce of a pregnant kitty who came to us all the way from Bell Buckle, TN. She is super sweet, and ready to pop. We do have a foster home for her, but so many more out there that need help. Bungee woke up this morning and continues to be eternally grateful that all four paws are on the ground after surviving an over 30 foot fall from a tree a few days ago. He would like to thank everyone for the well wishes and intends to be up for adoption very soon. Enjoy the cuteness!

UNBELIEVABLE STORY, but with a hopefully happy ending for this little guy. "Bungee" was witnessed falling from a tree in Bethpage, TN, from a height of over 30 feet. The details as to why he was so high in the tree are unknown. We are guessing a bird of prey, though there were no talon marks that could be seen on his body. The woman who witnessed this contacted us immediately, and we had one of our amazing fosters who lived close by retrieve him and take him to Davis Family Vet in Hendersonville right away. He miraculously survived this fall due to his age and his bones being pliable, but he does have a pretty good concussion, though expected to make a full recovery. Our foster reported that he ate very well last night, which is a really good sign that he is on the mend. Bungee, you had our heart racing there for a minute, while you were being seen by the vet, but we are breathing a sigh of relief that you had a good night last night. We will keep you updated on this little daredevil, Bungee, and will post about him soon!

It was a wonderful week, and we had TWENTY-FIVE glorious adoptions!! This week we gotta give it up to the kittens, because they were getting adopted left and right. The adult cats take a bit of a backseat during kitten season, but their time is coming, and they are loving all the attention they are getting in spite of it all. We continue to have good numbers with our adult cat adoptions, just not so much this week. PLUS, we had a very special double kitten adoption this week....Wolf and Tar antula, both siblings that were born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (Wobbly Cat Syndrome). A very special couple fell madly in love with them, because they are so cuddly and affectionate, and have had several visitations with them, finally making it official on Saturday. Also, there was the adoption of Little Wyatt, who showed up with multiple fractures on both back legs, and had to undergo surgical repair. He was our miracle kitten, and he found a home on Saturday as well! We are over the moon about these adoptions! Special needs kitties are just what their name implies...special, and it takes huge hearts to come in and love them for their personalities, and accepting them "as is", and loving them unconditionally anyway. All of our adopters this week took such great care in their selections, and we are so proud to have all of these families as extensions of our True Rescue adoption family. Thank you all so much for the amazing experiences you gave us, of witnessing these matches. We can't wait to do this next week! Have a wonderful evening, and keep those adoptions coming!

Mt Juliet, TN. Really sad backstory here, but this kitten is safe and sound with us after being rescued from a dog attack in a neighborhood in Mt Juliet, TN. Unfortunately, he was the only survivor, as his other sibling didn't make it. Luckily, not a mark on him, and he is very healthy. We are working with the neighbor to try and get mama, who is very, very feral. We have named this cutie-pie Elliot, and he is in great hands with one of our fosters. We are currently buried in intakes, so new fosters are most welcome! You can apply by filling out the link below. Elliot has now stolen all of our hearts and ran away with the keys. He's precious, and thankfully, safe.

Good morning! I am JIMMY!! What else do you need to know? Oh, I guess you're wondering where I came from...I wish I could tell you! I was found in a storm drain in Lebanon, TN, and I was very sick and very scared. I'm not even sure how I got there, and I was unsure about the hands that pulled me out, too. Turns out, they were great hands, and those hands brought me to an amazing foster home with True Rescue. It took me a few weeks to get back to feeling like myself again, and now here I am, my big debut! I'll be at the ADOPTION EVENT today at PetSmart in Mt. Juliet, TN, and I am hoping a ginger-tabby-loving family comes along and scoops me right up. Come on by today from 11-3, and my paws will be wide open!
