4 down 8 to go at 1:21 am
I can honestly say this liter is throwing me for a curve ball so far. This is a repeat pairing and 8 months ago they had 7 piebalds, 2 brindlequins, 1 Merle, and 1 brindle mantle 9 boys and 2 girls.
This time so far 2 Merle, 1 show marked tuxedo mantle, 1 brindle. 3 girls and 1 boy. Just goes to show you that you can control as many variables as you can, repeat everything the same, but when breeding animals it’s really a crap shoot.
The good thing is they have all been super strong and healthy, all big, and are gonna have excellent structure, health, temperament and intelligence.
I am so thrilled how the first pairing has turned out, I have every intention of keeping a male out of this liter.
Btw the side that no one considers or thinks about when they complain about one of our puppy prices is when a momma gets close to delivering puppies my whole world 🌍 stops 🛑 for them. I put all business family and friends to the side and on the back burner for them. I have been camped out in her whelping pool in her whelping room 24 hours a day for the last 4 days. I have rushed her to the vet without thinking because I was concerned about her health. I will be with her 24 hours a day for the first 14 days to help and support her at her every begging call. Then I will transition to letting her do more and more of the driving while I wait on the sidelines when she needs me. All of these hours go into the price of your puppy, not to mention my 3 kids have to take over feeding, watering, exercise, grooming, and training of our other 7 adults and 3 puppies we have on site. I could not do all of this alone, we are a tight tight-knit family who all participate and assist when one of us or our Danes needs it. I wish everyone could see how much work, effort, and care we put into KD Sweet Southern Danes daily. We also answer the phone for our puppy families 24/7 usually within minutes of their call, text, or message to assist and support them throughout their ownership of one of our amazing babies. I’m sure all of them can comment on here and vouch for that.
Just some things to think about as you think about getting your future best friend for the next 10 plus years. You don’t have to buy a pup from us, we know a few excellent breeders out there that put out quality Danes with the care and support that we do. But trust me when I say it’s rare so please please do your research, vet the breeder, build a relationship with them to make sure they are the right fit for you. Don’t just buy the cheapest priced Dane you can find. There is a high possibility you will end up with alot of Vet bills, Poor behavior, a short skinny Dane, a tall skinny Dane, picture a taller Labrador, short lifespan, and zero support along your ownership companionship journey. Or some combination of those issues.
Ripcord and Ruby Reaux babies are quite literally perfection just FYi, I’m not biased or anything come see for yourself.
