Freedom Ride Animal Rescue is a 501(c) 3, nonprofit, foster based animal rescue organization. We are a foster based Rescue with no building location.

We are a unique rescue committed to helping as many animals as we can, by providing free transportation from traditional shelters and breeder releases to no-kill rescues all over our surrounding area. We also provide overnight/temporary foster care for our furry travelers whose time has run out at shelters while waiting for their spot to open at one of our pre-approved no-kill rescues. 100% of don

Another BUSY couple of days ahead. Tomorrow Phillip Cooper will go to Davenport IA to pick up a basset puppy to take to Guardian Angel Basset Rescue in Dwight, Il. Her name is Daisy, so I'll spend the day "Driving Miss Daisy" 😁

Friday it's back to Missouri to pick up a Golden for our friends at Good As Gold Rescue. Meeting them in Rock Island. About 600 miles between the 2 days!

Yesterday, Phillip Cooper and Brandy Woehler had the honor of being a small part of an incredible lifesaving journey — the 2nd Annual Bob Griffith Memorial Transport, organized by Headed Home in the Heartland Transports. Over 62 dogs and cats were transported to safety and new beginnings through this amazing collaborative effort. 🐶🐱🚐

Between the two of us, we picked up 5 dogs in Brimfield, IL before heading to Quad City Animal Welfare Center in Milan, IL.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in coordinating, driving, fostering, rescuing, and supporting these lifesaving transports and letting us be a small part of this day.

We are on the road again today! 🐾

Phillip Cooper and Brandy Woehler started this morning by picking up a group of dogs in Brimfield, IL before heading to QCAWC in Milan, IL. Along the way, they also met up with one of our transport friends, Jean Kern , who had a vehicle full of dogs headed to safety as well. ❤️

Busy day tomorrow! 🐾

Phil and Brandy will both be driving a leg from Brimfield, IL to Milan, IL alongside 2 other drivers. The dogs tomorrow will be heading to 2 different rescues in the area as they begin their journey to better lives and loving homes. ❤️

This beautiful girl had a big adventure today! Brandy Woehler picked her up in Bloomfield, Iowa before heading back to Princeton, Illinois to meet up with another transporter to finish her drive up in the Chicago Suburbs. Tonight, Diva will settle into her new rescue and foster home as she begins the next chapter of her life.

Meet Bahama Mama & Ivy Ann 🐾

Friday, Phillip Cooper picked up these two retired moms just in time for Mother’s Day, giving them both a fresh start and a chance at the life they deserve. Last week, we received a call asking for help placing two dogs retiring from breeder life, and Quad City Animal Welfare Center was happy to step in and give them a second chance. Once Phil picked them up in Mount Pleasant, IA he headed to Milan, IL where they were safely delivered to their new rescue and welcomed into foster homes.

Meet Gucci & Chanel 💛🐾

Today, Thursday, April 30th, Phillip Cooper headed to Kahoka, MO to pick up two very sweet—but very scared—female Golden Retrievers for As Good As Gold Golden Retriever Rescue of Illinois. Once safely loaded up, they made their way to Rock Island, IL, where he met up with another Driver Alice before heading to the Chicago Suburbs.

Meet Ava Grace, Wilma June, and Juno 🐾

Today, Phil picked up these three sweet dogs in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, before heading to Milan, IL, where they were safely delivered to their new rescue.
