Freedom Ride Animal Rescue is a 501(c) 3, nonprofit, foster based animal rescue organization. We are a foster based Rescue with no building location.

We are a unique rescue committed to helping as many animals as we can, by providing free transportation from traditional shelters and breeder releases to no-kill rescues all over our surrounding area. We also provide overnight/temporary foster care for our furry travelers whose time has run out at shelters while waiting for their spot to open at one of our pre-approved no-kill rescues. 100% of don

ations go to the vetting and transportation of these animals giving them a chance to live and find loving homes. WE ARE NOT IN COMPETITION WITH LOCAL OR REGIONAL SHELTER BASED RESCUES.

🐾 We are just 2 weeks away from our next FREE Microchip Clinic! 🐾

Join us on Sunday, June 28th, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Pet Supplies Plus for our next FREE Microchip Clinic!

A few things to remember:
✅ We will be set up in the back of the store for the clinic.

✅ If the line extends outside, please wait in your vehicle until there is room inside the store.

✅ Dogs and cats from any county are welcome!

✅ Cats must be in carriers.

✅ Dogs must be leashed or in a carrier.

You do not need to pre-register—just stop by anytime between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
Each pet will receive: 🐾 A FREE microchip
🐾 FREE lifetime registration
🐾 FREE lifetime updates to your registration information

These five sweet girls are retired breeder releases who were in need of a fresh start. Two weeks ago, we received a call asking for placement assistance, and as soon as they heard these ladies needed help, the wonderful team at Quad City Animal Welfare Center stepped up and said yes!

Yesterday, Phillip Cooper made the trip to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, to pick up these five girls before transporting them safely to Milan, Illinois. This special group includes 2 Mini Bulldogs, 2 Dachshunds, and 1 Golden Retriever. 🐶💛

All dogs will now be heading to foster homes through their new rescue, where they can begin learning what life as a beloved family pet is all about before becoming available for adoption.

A huge thank you to Phil for making the transport happen and to Quad City Animal Welfare Center for giving these deserving dogs a second chance at life.

Transport Catch-Up Time! 🐾

On Friday, May 29th, Phillip Cooper headed to Kahoka, MO to pick up a 5 year old female Golden Retriever for As Good As Gold Golden Retriever Rescue of Illinois. Once safely loaded up, he made his way to Rock Island, IL, where he met up with the rescue to complete this pup's journey to a brighter future.

A huge thank you to As Good As Gold Golden Retriever Rescue of Illinois for saving this sweet girl and allowing us to be a small part of his Freedom Ride to a brand-new life. 💛 Be sure to follow their page for updates on this handsome pup and to see all the wonderful dogs they have available for adoption.

Another BUSY couple of days ahead. Tomorrow Phillip Cooper will go to Davenport IA to pick up a basset puppy to take to Guardian Angel Basset Rescue in Dwight, Il. Her name is Daisy, so I'll spend the day "Driving Miss Daisy" 😁

Friday it's back to Missouri to pick up a Golden for our friends at Good As Gold Rescue. Meeting them in Rock Island. About 600 miles between the 2 days!

Yesterday, Phillip Cooper and Brandy Woehler had the honor of being a small part of an incredible lifesaving journey — the 2nd Annual Bob Griffith Memorial Transport, organized by Headed Home in the Heartland Transports. Over 62 dogs and cats were transported to safety and new beginnings through this amazing collaborative effort. 🐶🐱🚐

Between the two of us, we picked up 5 dogs in Brimfield, IL before heading to Quad City Animal Welfare Center in Milan, IL.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in coordinating, driving, fostering, rescuing, and supporting these lifesaving transports and letting us be a small part of this day.

We are on the road again today! 🐾

Phillip Cooper and Brandy Woehler started this morning by picking up a group of dogs in Brimfield, IL before heading to QCAWC in Milan, IL. Along the way, they also met up with one of our transport friends, Jean Kern , who had a vehicle full of dogs headed to safety as well. ❤️

Busy day tomorrow! 🐾

Phil and Brandy will both be driving a leg from Brimfield, IL to Milan, IL alongside 2 other drivers. The dogs tomorrow will be heading to 2 different rescues in the area as they begin their journey to better lives and loving homes. ❤️

This beautiful girl had a big adventure today! Brandy Woehler picked her up in Bloomfield, Iowa before heading back to Princeton, Illinois to meet up with another transporter to finish her drive up in the Chicago Suburbs. Tonight, Diva will settle into her new rescue and foster home as she begins the next chapter of her life.
