Today, on International Equine Assisted Services Day, we join organizations around the world, like HETI - Horses in Education and Therapy International in celebrating the incredible impact of equine-assisted services. 💚🐴
This day is observed each year on July 29 in honor of Lis Hartel of Denmark, whose courage and determination helped inspire generations. After contracting polio, Lis returned to riding and went on to become one of the most remarkable figures in equestrian history, showing the world what is possible through the partnership between horses and humans.
At Rainbow Riders, we celebrate this mission not just today, but every single day! We are grateful for every member of our Rainbow Riders family: our amazing herd, dedicated staff, committed board members, compassionate volunteers, generous supporters, and, most importantly, our incredible riders. Together, you make confidence grow, independence flourish, friendships form, and milestones happen—both in and out of the saddle.
