Get Ready to Hike and Train with The Adventure Dog Club!
We are counting down to our next The Adventure Dog Club: Hike & Train event this Sunday
Ready to transform your trail experience from chaotic to controlled? Our structured group hikes blend physical exercise with real-world obedience to give you and your dog the ultimate mental and physical workout.
Whether you are already registered or still thinking about joining us, here is a sneak peek at what to expect from the flow of our hike.
🐾 The Rules of the Trail
100% Leashed: All dogs must remain on-leash throughout the entire event. (Standard leashes only, please—leave the retractables at home!)
Give Space: Please respect other handlers by keeping distance between all dogs. Your dog might be social, but others may need a bigger bubble to stay focused.
🗺️ What Our Adventure Looks Like
We don't just hike; we train the whole time! Here is how we structure our morning:
The Foundation (Pre-Hike Practice): Before we start walking, we will gather to work on four exercises: About-Face Drill, Coming to Heel, Name Engagement, and Leave-It. We will use these commands throughout the hike!
The Hike: We hit the trail, putting our pre-hike training into action.
Rest & Recovery (Midpoint): At the halfway point, we pause to rest. Once the dogs are settled, we do a short "Proofing" session to practice Down at a Distance and Greeting a Stranger.
Finish & Post-Hike Social: We complete the loop and, for anyone interested, we will head to The Moose afterwards for some human socializing and a well-earned Pup Cup for the dogs!
Are you ready to build a deeper bond with your dog in nature?
