This weekend was exactly the kind of weekend our rescue needed. 💛

We're thrilled to share that FIVE FurBabies found their forever homes! 🏡🐶

There is nothing better than seeing dogs who have been through neglect, abandonment, uncertainty, and hardship finally find families who are committed to loving them for the rest of their lives.

We cannot wait to receive updates and watch these sweet pups thrive in their new homes. ❤️

While we are celebrating these happy endings, the reality is that rescue work never stops.

As many of you know, FurBabies has been struggling lately with:
💔 A large number of intakes
💔 A depleted medical fund
💔 An ongoing need for approved foster homes
💔 The constant need to find the right adopters for each dog still in our care

Most dogs that come into rescue require some combination of:
🐾 Veterinary exams
🐾 Spay/neuter surgery
🐾 Grooming
🐾 Treatment for infections and other medical conditions
🐾 Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
🐾 Microchipping
🐾 Ongoing medications and follow-up care

We have some exciting news for our FurBabies family! 💛

Our friends at Chick-fil-A Monroe are hosting a Doggy in the Drive Thru Donation Event to help local animal rescues, and FurBabies Animal Rescue is one of the rescues that will benefit from your generosity! 🐾

From June 11th through June 20th, you can drop off donations at Chick-fil-A in Monroe to help rescues care for dogs waiting for their forever homes.

✔️ Leashes, collars & harnesses
✔️ Small & medium dog clothing
✔️ Post-surgery recovery suits

💔 Right now, FurBabies is facing one of our biggest challenges yet.

🚨Our medical funds are depleted, and we are seriously considering closing intake until we can cover the medical needs of the dogs currently in our care. We have several dogs receiving ongoing treatment and veterinary care, and we currently have 9 dogs in foster homes still searching for their forever families.

Every donation, whether it's food, supplies, or monetary support—helps us continue rescuing small dogs from local shelters and giving them the second chance they deserve.

🐾💛 Welcome Maggie to FurBabies Animal Rescue! 💛🐾

Meet Maggie, a sweet 3-year-old, 12 lb Shih Tzu who was rescued from a difficult situation by a kind family and is now in our care.

At this time, Maggie is not yet available for adoption. She will spend a few days with us for a medical evaluation, grooming, and behavioral observation so we can fully understand her needs and ensure she is placed in the right forever home. 💛

We don’t know Maggie’s full story, but we do know she deserves a safe, loving space where she can heal and begin her new life.

🐾💛 Welcome Paul to FurBabies Animal Rescue! 💛🐾

Meet Paul, a handsome 2-year-old Italian Greyhound weighing approximately 10 lbs who recently came into our rescue as an owner surrender.

Right now, we don't know much about Paul's story or what he's experienced in his young life. What we do know is that he deserves a fresh start, a safe place to land, and all the love and care we can give him while he begins this new chapter. 💛

Paul is currently settling into a foster home where we'll spend the next several days getting to know him better, assessing his personality, behavior, and any immediate medical needs.

As we learn more about this sweet boy, we'll be sure to share updates with all of you!

Ice is a 6 month old, 7 lb Shih Tzu puppy with enough personality packed into his tiny body to keep everyone entertained. Friendly, funny, and full of playful puppy energy, this little guy is basically a living stuffed animal with zoomies. He loves making new friends, playing with toys, and being right in the middle of whatever is going on. If you're looking for a tiny comedian with a fluffy face and a whole lot of charm, Ice is your boy!
