🩺 Welcome to the Team, Dr. Kat Adcox!

We are thrilled to announce that a new face will be joining the Matthews Animal Clinic family! Dr. Kat Adcox will officially begin seeing patients on June 29th, and we couldn't be more excited to have her expertise on the team.

Originally from Peachtree City, Georgia, Dr. Adcox earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. She is looking forward to making Charlotte her new home and getting to know all of you and your furry companions.
Dr. Adcox brings a wealth of knowledge and a gentle touch to our practice. Her professional interests include feline medicine, soft tissue surgery, and a strong focus on preventative care to keep your pets healthy for years to come. She is also a dedicated advocate for Fear-Free medicine, meaning she goes above and beyond to ensure every visit is as calm, comfortable, and stress-free as possible for both our patients and their owners.

When she isn’t in the clinic, Dr. Adcox stays busy with her own crew—two dogs, Cooper and Birdie, and a cat named Callie. She is an avid traveler and reader, and you’ll likely find her exploring the local trails with her dogs on her days off. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome to the team!
