All the practicing with the guide rails to learn to keep the pony straight off the outside aids is paying off for Ari with Buzz! It’s so much fun to watch it come together 💜🦄💜

It looks like all of that time spent practicing between the guide rails to learn how to keep the horse straight has paid off in spades for Caitlin Slaney with Brennus!! This course (last week) was the most consistent one yet!

These two have been on such a roll, putting more and more of the pieces together. Great job, Ava with Chi Chi! Heather Gould Ava Gould

My favorite exercises are the ones that can be adapted for riders at varying levels. We turned the box on its head and with the rails on the diagonals, the riders need to make square turns in order to keep their horses straight with the middle. It’s so much fun to see turns that had been supper squiggly from all inside rein become straight as an arrow as the riders correctly blend their outside rein and leg. And even more fun when the distances to the jumps and poles come up nicely every time!

Join us tomorrow for The Pony Pals Club!!
Last week these kids helped clean and bed stalls, learned to lead the ponies, and spent some quality time with Mocha, that cat.
So much more fun to come tomorrow!

There’s nothing better than a gorgeous fall day to watch this pattern ship grow 😊 Jillian Sommer

We need to evolve our practices as we learn more. Years ago we stopped wrapping after every jump school, no matter what. We stopped wrapping to ship in most cases, and we stopped washing the legs daily. We still do all those things on a case-by-case basis, but it just made sense that there was no sense in doing them indiscriminately. We also don’t feed a bran mash 😜

Capstone Farm in Mansfield MA is hiring!! Full time and part time positions available. Weekday and weekend shifts. We are looking to bring on 2 people, and days and times can be flexible.

Weekend Barn Manager (One day or both)
Weekday Barn Assistant
Saturday Riding Instructor (must be MA licensed)

The horses are easy - they’re all older lesson horses & show horses. The people are lovely. The environment is laid back and positive. We treat people with respect and we work as a team.

The jobs consist of most normal barn things, with minimal stalls to clean. W2 Employee with paid time off!

We are looking for reliable people with solid horse experience, who can work independently.

If this sounds like you, and you want money for your horse fund, please message me.
