🐴 **EQUINE FIRST AID CLINIC — EASTON, MO!** 🩺

We’re headed to **Lucky K Horse Company on September 19th** for another hands-on Equine First Aid Clinic!

Our goal with these clinics is simple: **help horse owners feel more prepared when an emergency happens.** Knowing your horse’s normal vital signs, recognizing early signs of colic, properly managing a wound, or knowing how to apply a bandage can make a huge difference while you’re waiting for your veterinarian.

Throughout the clinic, our veterinary team will cover:
🩺 Normal vital signs
🐴 Colic recognition
🩹 Wound care & bandaging
🚨 Common equine emergencies
📞 When it’s time to call your veterinarian
🧰 Building a practical equine first aid kit
❓ Plus plenty of time for questions!

We want you leaving this clinic with knowledge you can actually use at the barn.

A huge **thank you to Kelsey and Lucky K Horse Company** for welcoming us and hosting this clinic! ❤️

As we begin to wind down another breeding season, we want to take a moment to say thank you to all of our clients who trusted us with their breeding programs this year.

Breeding horses is one of the most rewarding and humbling parts of the equine industry. Every mare owner hopes to see that little black circle on the ultrasound screen, but those who have been through the process know it doesn’t always happen on the first attempt. Successful breeding requires patience, planning, and a little bit of luck.

While this season is wrapping up, we’re already looking ahead to next year!

We’re considering hosting a Pre-Breeding Seminar for mare owners and would love to know if there’s interest. Topics could include:
• Preparing your mare before breeding season
• Understanding stallion contracts and selecting the right cross
• The breeding process and what to expect
• Pregnancy checks and post-breeding management
• Common challenges and how to improve your chances of success
• A Q&A session with our team

Whether you’re breeding your very first mare or you’ve been doing it for years, our goal is to help you feel informed and confident going into breeding season.

Would this be something you’d be interested in attending? Let us know in the comments!

This week we’re introducing Lauren, our Veterinary Technician at Circle B Veterinary Services!

Lauren has been working in equine veterinary medicine for several years and has a passion for reproduction, sports medicine, and helping horses stay healthy and performing at their best. From assisting with breeding season and stallion collections to routine farm calls and everything in between, she’s always ready to jump in wherever she’s needed.

When she’s not riding sh***un in the vet truck, you’ll usually find her training and showing horses, managing breeding programs, judging ranch horse competitions, or convincing herself that adding “just one more thing” to her schedule is a great idea. She thrives in organized chaos… most days.

If you’ve seen her on a farm call, chances are you’ve also heard her talking to a horse like it’s a person, celebrating a good ultrasound like someone just won the lottery, or laughing through whatever adventure the day decided to throw at the team. No two days are ever the same and honestly, that’s exactly how she likes it.

Lauren is incredibly grateful to be part of the Circle B Veterinary Services team and looks forward to continuing to care for your horses while building lasting relationships with clients. Thank you for trusting her and the rest of the Circle B team with your equine partners we truly love what we do!

This week we’re introducing the friendly voice behind the phone and the organized mind behind the scenes our Client Service Representative, Shelby!

Shelby has been working alongside Dr. Haukos since 2022, and we’re incredibly thankful to have her as part of the Circle B Veterinary Services team. While you may not always see her at appointments, there’s a good chance you’ve talked to her on the phone, exchanged emails, or had her help schedule your horse’s next visit.

As our CSR, Shelby keeps the wheels turning by managing appointments, answering client questions, coordinating the daily schedule, and helping ensure both our clients and patients receive the best care possible. She plays a huge role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes!

Now let’s have a little fun… 🎉

🐴 Two Truths and a Lie –Shelby Edition!

1️⃣ She has milked a cow.
2️⃣ She has touched a dinosaur bone.
3️⃣ She just bought her first house.

👇 Drop your guess in the comments which one is the lie? We’ll reveal the answer tomorrow!
