Raising, training and selling dogs, wildlife and exotic animals all around the world has brought us in contact with some very unique people and many have become lifelong friends. And it’s always interesting to talk with these individuals from many different walks of life and to hear their stories about the lives they’ve lived. This morning was another opportunity to make a new friend and hear about his life as a songwriter and deer farmer from Missouri. Phillip and his special lady friend picked up their Powder Blue German Shepherd pup this morning and we realized we had much in common. Enjoy his song.

RESCUES and SHELTERS promote Backyard Breeders !

People can get a less expensive, untested and unregistered dog from a rescue or shelter knowing that if they get tired of it or if the Vet bills get too expensive, or if the dog becomes unmanageable, they can turn it over to a rescue or shelter. As long as there are rescues and shelters, there will be Backyard Breeders producing inferior and unhealthy dogs.

Fatal Dog Attack Under Investigation in Saline County

Saline County, AR – On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at approximately 12:15 p.m., the Saline County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting that a female had been attacked by dogs. Deputies and emergency medical personnel responded immediately to the scene.

Upon arrival, it was determined that a 15 year old female had been fatally attacked by multiple dogs located within a secured, fenced area on private property. Approximately 30 dogs were being housed at the location as part of a rescue.

The victim had been previously assisting the rescue with the care of the animals and was helping to find them permanent homes. The reason for the sudden and tragic attack is currently unknown.

Due to the nature of the incident and out of respect for the family, the name of the victim will not be released at this time.

The animals at the location that have been associated with the attack have been seized by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of Benton animal control. The investigation remains ongoing.
