Peanut:
Today we celebrate and honor, a very special member of our lesson program as he begins his well-deserved retirement.

For years, this incredible schoolmaster has patiently taught countless riders, helping them build confidence, develop skills, and fall in love with horses. He has carried beginners through their first rides, helped more experienced students reach new goals, and quietly taken care of every rider lucky enough to sit in his saddle.

Thank you for every lesson, every ribbon, every confidence building ride, and every memory. You have touched so many lives and left footprints on countless hearts.

Happy retirement, sweet boy. You’ve earned it 🥰

Sunday: Sowell Rd has been blocked off due to flooding from the rain. You will need to get to the barn using Smith-Carr Rd or from the north side of N Old Canton are.

Despite the crazy weather, we had a fabulous show at Lagniappe Equestrian Center! Always love going to this venue!

Haley Curry and Royal Heart took home the win in the open Novice division as well as winning the TIP High Point award for the show. Royal scored at ✨24✨in the dressage and only added one rail to finish on a 28.

Haley Curry and Lori Tucker’s, Bellavue de Vess, brought home 70+ in both of her 1st 1 tests.

We welcomed back into the show ring Summer Scott and George who despite a few years off
brought home the win in the junior Starter on a score of 31!

Lori Tucker got in the arena for the first time with her new mount, Bellavue de Vess, and brought home a respectable score of 61!

Florence Cooper and Gypsy Queen danced their way to a PB of 62 at the First level!

Look at our girls go!! Three of our riders took on the Heart of the Horse Trainer’s Challenge and performed beautifully. A massive congratulations to all riders but especially our girls!

Ava and Everleigh took home the win in trail and was best conditioned. She also was 2nd in health and ground manners and 3rd in her freestyle out of 9 amateurs and pros!!

Allie and Ray Charles brought home the win in leadline class and best conditioned out of 13!

Kaitlyn and Tinker Bell won their longline class and got 2nd in trail and 3rd in her freestyle with a first overall in the pony youth division!

Trainers at Mississippi Horses are preparing for the Heart of the Horse Trainers Challenge happening at the Kirk Fordice Equine Center in Jackson from May 14-16.
