The following are beautifully balanced in calcium and phosphorus, so they're not a problem.

Acorn squash, butternut squash, celery, dandelion leaves, dill, green beans, leaf lettuce, parsley, peppermint, romaine lettuce, spaghetti squash, turnip, watercress.

This applies to both raw, or cooked. Go for it!

Just be sure to introduce slowly because too much veg can loosen stool.
Rule of thumb: root veg firms stool and ones that grow above the ground loosen it. Combine the two and you've got this!

Why Malinois are marked -
An explanation be a 6yr old boy..

I had originally posted this to our first foster's page Trina's Story. My then 6 year old son had come up with a reason why Mals are marked with the black markings they have....word per word... as he told me, here is it again for those who have seen it and for those who haven't - get a tissue handy and enjoy...

God made a whole bunch of dogs, but he had one spirit left, it was pretty big and was kinda special... so he crammed it into a small package that was very athletic and tough...

Then he decided what color to make it. He made some solid black so they could blend in with the shadows to catch bad guys. He made a bunch kinda tan shades. He was running out of black color so he let the angels highlight what they thought was special and give protection to the dogs and so the humans could see it too...

First they started with the face, they dipped the face in black so the teeth would show up good and people could see them. Some got dipped a little and some got dipped a whole lot. Some got streaks by the eye to show keen eyesight and wisdom, the ears were black to catch the colors of sound better! Some were marked on the shoulders but the angels couldn't agree on one thing.

Because these dogs carried heavy burdens to protect their people... some wear capes of black to show bravery - like a super hero, some were marked with a cross to show they would give up their life for their people, some were shadowed to show their strength.

The chest was marked on some with a black shield to protect the dogs' courage, which people would see. Some were given a splash of white to highlight the loving heart. The legs were sprayed black and some outlined, others had frosting so people could see the blurr as they ran and wrapped their legs around you.

The toes/feet are black to ensure their step is solid on bad ground. The angels knew that not all these dogs would be able to find their people and do what was needed and so would return after living a hard life. The angels cried over that so their tears washed a mark just behind the shoulders that is lighter than the rest of the body.... this is where the dogs' angel wings would be when they came back to heaven. For the lucky dogs this would grant them how to fly far and high in the air!

And what about the tail? Why would there be black on the tail? I asked my son....🫶🫶🫶

Because when they leave heaven God tells them good bye and ran His hand over their tails cause that was the last thing he touches when they leave to go be puppies somewhere!
