If you ever wanted to get into fostering here is a great opportunity!!! Tarheel Weimaraner Rescue needs some help! If you able to help out here is a link to their Foster application!

🚨🐾 **WE HAVE A WEIMARANER-SIZED PROBLEM… AND WE NEED YOUR HELP! NC/SC ONLY** 💙

We always say rescue takes a village. Well, friends, **our village is about to be put to the test.**

Right now, Tarheel Weimaraner Rescue is facing an extraordinary number of dogs needing help, and we're running out of something absolutely essential.

**FOSTER HOMES.**

Here's what's happening:

🐾 **1 Weimaraner boy** needs a place to land.

🐾 **2 bonded brothers** need a foster home where they can stay together.

🐾 **2 females** are coming in together and need a safe place to call home.

That's **FIVE Weimaraners** we're already working to accommodate.

But there's more.

We've also been asked to help with a **massive intake involving 50 Weimaraners out of Ohio.**

Yes. FIFTY. 😳

We want to help. We desperately want to say YES.

But here's the reality of rescue: **We cannot help the next dog if we don't have somewhere safe for the dogs already coming into our care.**

💙 **TO OUR CURRENT AND PREVIOUS FOSTERS:**
If you've been thinking about opening your home again, or we've recently reached out asking for help, PLEASE consider stepping up. We need you now more than ever.

💙 **TO OUR FUTURE FOSTERS:**
Have you ever thought about fostering a Weimaraner? Maybe you've been waiting for the right time.

**That time might just be NOW.**

Fostering isn't always easy. Sometimes it's messy, sometimes it's chaotic, and sometimes a Weimaraner decides your couch belongs to them.

But it can also change a dog's entire future.

You don't have to adopt another dog forever to make a forever difference.

🏡 **WE NEED FOSTER HOMES. WE NEED OUR VILLAGE. WE NEED YOU.**

👉 **Apply to foster today:**
https://www.tarheelweimrescue.org/foster

And even if you cannot foster, PLEASE SHARE this post. Someone in your circle might be exactly who these dogs are waiting for.

**Five dogs are coming. Fifty more may need help. How many can we say YES to? That depends on all of us.** 💙🐾

After this mornings episode, I could not be happier!

Loki had a slip up this morning, he lunged at a person today on our morning walk.. no one was in any danger. Loki was actually in a sit and I was talking across the street with a fellow neighbor.

Something triggered Loki and he lost it… trying to replay in my mind why but still uncertain… it could be the person.

Challenges like this are not uncommon, I just wish I would have noticed his unhappiness earlier and not allowed him to lunge or get angry.

So tonight we had to get back on the horse so to speak… after our initial walk we went to the doggy bar .

Not only did he do well, he got closer to the fence then ever with other dogs and never showed any dominance or care really

He even offered behaviors to me

💙🐾 WE DID IT — THE PAW IS FULL! 🐾💙
Thanks to an absolutely incredible group of supporters, Tarheel Weimaraner Rescue reached our $500 Giving Tuesday goal!

We are sincerely grateful to every single person who donated, shared the fundraiser, encouraged a friend to give, or simply helped us spread the word.
Those $5, $10, $15, and $20 spaces became something much bigger when everyone came together.

$500 means real support for the Weims in our care. It helps with veterinary needs, medications, food, supplies, transportation, foster support, and all of the everyday things that make it possible for us to give rescued Weimaraners the safety, care, and second chances they deserve.

Every filled space on this paw represents someone who chose to make a difference for a rescue dog. We hope you know just how much that means to us — and to the dogs whose lives are changed because of your generosity.
From all of us at Tarheel Weimaraner Rescue: THANK YOU. 💙

You filled the paw.
You helped us reach our goal.
And most importantly, you made a pawsitive impact for the Weims who need us.

🐾
We truly could not do this work without this amazing community.
$500 raised. One full paw. So many second chances made possible. 💙🐾

Loki says more! He is loving his new experiences, tonight I took Loki shopping with me at Lowes, I didn't need anything, but we acted like it was a shopping trip and not just in and out of Lowes.. Actually this boy went in and out on 3 "Shopping Trips" cause he was having to much fun enjoying the sites and smells. This video was his third trip into the store this evening..

He never showed a scared or guarding posture in the store, with all the stuff (Christmas and Halloween) people, close quarters. It is like I have created a monster.. but I so love it, this was not even a possibility 6 months ago let along 3 years ago.. little by little buddy you have chipped away at your fears and your aggressions, and being able to leave your yard and known areas were hard on you.. and look at you now!!

Amazing progress for this rescue!!

💙 THANK YOU — truly. 💙
Because of your generosity, we’ve already raised $270 toward our $500 Giving Tuesday goal! 🐾
Every donation means more than just filling a space on the paw. It helps us provide care, support our fosters, cover medical needs, and continue saying “yes” to Weims who need a safe place and a second chance.
We are so grateful to everyone who has donated, shared, commented, and helped spread the word. You are making this possible.
We’re more than halfway there — and we’d love to keep the momentum going!

Looking to help a rescue in need? Here is a great fundraiser for Tarheel Weimaraner Rescue!

🐾 **IT’S GIVING TUESDAY — LET’S FILL THE PAW!** 💙

Today, we have one big goal: **raise $500 for the Weims in our care.**

We’ve turned that goal into one giant rescue paw, and we need our Tarheel Weimaraner Rescue community to help us fill every space!

Choose a spot on the paw — **$5, $10, $15, $20, or any amount you’d like** — and make a donation. Every filled space gets us one step closer to our **$500 Giving Tuesday goal.**

💙 **Donate here:**
https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/support-twr-on-giving-tuesday

Your donations help make the everyday work of rescue possible:

🐾 Veterinary care
🐾 Food and supplies
🐾 Medications
🐾 Foster support
🐾 Transportation
🐾 And, most importantly, second chances for Weims who need us

No donation is too small. A $5 space matters just as much as the bigger ones because when our community comes together, those individual gifts add up to something pretty amazing. 💙

Our mission is simple: **helping rescued Weimaraners find the safe, loving homes they deserve.**

Today, you can be part of making that next second chance possible.

🐾 **$500. One paw. One incredible rescue community.**

Paige is nooking, every night she needs something to nook on to soothe herself, this is not something Loki will do.. it is funny to watch her head as she is doing this, out of all out Weims, 2 have been nookers.

Loki’s world and experiences continue to expand. There was a local band playing at the brewery by the pond in Lexington, so Jill and I packed Paige and Loki up to see how he would do!

We obviously kept our space, there were a lot of people and other dogs around.

Overall Jill and I had them there for a good 30-40 mins. The duration of time continues to grow for each outing with more and more challenges. However after 3 years of hard work on hos b-mod, we can finally take Loki to certain public places with us!!

More proofing with these two n public at our local dog bar/play area. These two will never be candidates to go in and play nicely with others. However they are learning to socialize and be around others without any aggressions or dominance issues!
