🏆🐾 PROUD TO SERVE LEXINGTON COUNTY! 🐾🏆

We’re honored to share this exciting recognition from BusinessRate’s Best of 2026! 💛💜💙

Animal Control is about so much more than responding to calls. It’s about protecting animals, promoting public safety, responding to the needs of our community, investigating cruelty and neglect, and working every day to give animals a chance at a better life.

Behind every call is a dedicated team working hard to serve the citizens and animals of Lexington County. We’re proud of our officers, staff, volunteers, fosters, and rescue partners who make this mission possible.

This recognition belongs to the entire LCAS team and the community we’re proud to serve! 🐶🐱🚔💙

Our kennels are FULL and we need your help now more than ever to save lives 🐾❤️
There are so many ways you can make a difference:
🐶 Adopt
Stop by the shelter, walk through, and meet your new best friend! Every adoption opens space for another dog in need. Only $40!
🐾 Save-a-Pet
These are dogs at risk who need immediate help. They may not be altered yet, but they go home with a microchip and rabies vaccine; giving them a second chance because of YOU.
📣 Managed Intake
Keep an eye out for these posts! These are dogs scheduled to come in who could avoid the shelter entirely with your help.
🏡 Foster
Open your home temporarily and help us create space. Apply in person and once approved, you can take a dog home and be a lifesaver! (Adoption dog only)
Every share, every adoption, every foster; it all matters. Let’s work together to give these dogs the future they deserve 🐕💙

💙🐾 We’re always running low on blankets! As the weather gets colder🥶, our shelter pups love having something soft to snuggle up with, especially when they’re scared. 🥹🥰

Have any used blankets or blankets you no longer need? Our dogs would really appreciate them! Every blanket brings a little extra warmth and comfort to a pup waiting for their forever home. 🐶🩵

Thank you for helping us keep our shelter babies cozy! 🐾

🐾🎶 WOOFSTOCK FUN! 🐶💙

Our annual Woofstock event with the Columbia Humane Society was full of fun, community connections, and THREE HAPPY TAILS! 🎉🐾

Flora, Birdie, AND Buddha all went home! 🏡❤️ We couldn’t be happier for these three pups as they start their next chapters with their new families!

We love getting out into our community, giving our shelter dogs some much-needed social time, and creating opportunities for them to meet their future families. Events like these remind us why we do what we do! 💙🐶

A huge thank-you to the Columbia Humane Society for another wonderful event and for helping us make a difference!

Three dogs closer to forever. That’s what it’s all about! 🐾💙

Here’s to new beginnings, lifesaving work, and continuing to make a difference together! 🐶💙
