Officer C. Bussey needs your help identifying the family to whom this brow/beige colored dog, possibly a husky-shepherd mix, belonged to. Officers with the Lagrange Police Department's Animal Control Division are investigating a case of Animal Cruelty that occurred on September 15, 2026.

This dog was located deceased inside a trash bag with multiple apparent gunshot wounds. The body was submitted for necropsy.

Based on the condition of the dog, it appears to have been a family pet that was well care for. The circumstances suggest that someone may have shot a neighbor's dog and then attempted to dispose of the body on Fulton Street, Lagrange, Troup County, GA.

If you have any information regarding this case, please contact Officer C. Bussey at the Lagrange Police Department, 706-883-2603 or leave an anonymous tip by texting "LAGRANGE" to 847411 and include case #202609150098. Please do not message the page as it is not monitored at all times, Thank you in advance for your assistance in this case.
