After finally being treated for all of his ailments (including heartworm, hotspots, and Mange), Bruce was swooped up after being cleared and is headed home today. We couldn't be any more thrilled for him! We already miss his unshakeable happy spirit around here but wish him and his new person all of the best in the future. If you are looking for a sweet companion, I recommend meeting Jill. She's friendly with most dogs, (has a kennel-mate), and is great with our staff. Dog of the Week: Gail. It's pretty easy to spot a really smart dog, and at just a few months old, miss Gail has already shown that she'll be top of the class. She learned "sit" and "down" in two tries each, moments captured by including a treat reward to pair with the behavior as it happens. Trust us when we say whoever adopts this girl is going to be one lucky owner, so long as they keep her genius brain challenged.

In honor of Juneteenth, Our office will be closed this upcoming Friday. Unfortunately the shelter life doesn't include a day off for the dogs. Never forget, 8 hours away from you in a home is still better than nearly 24/7 kennel time. Come by and bring home one of our sweet baby dogs today. But not Friday. Thanks everyone 😁

DOG OF THE WEEK! everyone say hello to Gail, a super smart and adorable addition to the crew here. We think she is an about 4 month old Malinois/Terrier mix of some sort because she's very easy to train and eager to please but still has that DAWG in her. She's a little baby alligator(or Malingater if you will😅) at the moment, though we're starting some training with her. Sweet baby lost a tooth today so she's expecting a tooth fairy visit tonight. We're making our wish that she gets adopted ASAP! Call or come by the office if you're interested in meeting this absolute GEM of a dog.
