Tour “Beyond Organic” Farm of the Future on Saturday

Foodery Farms to Sell Local, High-Quality, Chemical-Free Vegetables and Herbs

JACKSONVILLE, FL. – Foodery Farms will bring together the community and deliver a view of the farm of the future when it opens its doors to hourly public tours on Saturday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 10917 General Avenue, Jacksonville.

This locally driven and innovative farm utilizes aquaponics, a closed cycle in which fish are raised in tanks, their waste is used to provide nutrients for hydroponically grown plants, and the plants in turn filter and cleanse the water for reuse by the fish.

Members of the community will tour the fish tanks, as well as hydroponic operations that can produce twice the food in 5,000-square feet than conventional farms grow using twice the land and more than ten times the water.
