Roasted vegetables with hot Italian sausage is on the dinner menu for tonight. Farm to table freshness. NO chemicals. NO synthetics. Just a healthy and flavorful meal that I harvested out of our regenerative garden this afternoon.

The evolution of New Roots Farm has brought us to a whole new world of diversity. We have a flourishing food forest, an amazing vegetable garden, and an awesome wild native area. Now, we are well on our way with the cut flower garden.

We have had so many challenges and obstacles, but we endure, learn, and keep going. We are getting better at what we do every day.

I have opened up a passion from deep inside my heart and absolutely love sharing it with anyone and everyone that wants to enjoy the harvests and learn how to achieve this wonderful lifestyle of farm to table eating and growing a healthier life.

I will have bouquets available in the near future, so please keep us in mind if you would like a special blend of beautiful flowers that have been grown with regenerative practices. I promise they will melt your heart 🥰😍.

From seed to this in just 21 days. San marzano tomatoes, the package said start indoors 6-8wks before the last frost date. These are going to be trees by 6-8 wks 😅. I am going to need more space to up pot these again.

With the freezing temps recently and the hard freeze coming in a few days, it is nice to see these beautiful, happy, warm plants thriving under my care. Almost everything outside has been damaged or is dormant. I don't like the heat but definitely look forward to the warmer months for the sake of the plants. 😊

We have had the privilege of having a little fun on the farm with some of the cutest little chickens.
Bantam cochins. They are small, very adorable with feathers on their feet and very friendly.
Up until recently, the only chickens we had were egg layers and our meat birds. This is just one of those fun things that we have added because we just love animals sooo much. They do serve a few purposes for us, they are not just for their looks. They are excellent at turning chip drop and have made a once unfertile area ready for growth.
Well, just look at these babies we hatched and tell me this isn't absolutely adorable and awesome.
Farming is hard. We have learned so many things the hard way. One thing we have really grown to understand is that it can not be all work and no play. We need the fun to balance it all out.
