If a Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte was a cat… ☕️🐱🧡

Meet sweet little Chai, who came to NVC Braeswood for her kitten vaccines, belly rubs, and apparently a few forced smiles for the camera during her exam. 😂

One of these photos is definitely giving “my mom said I have to smile.” 😭

Cozy, sweet, a little spicy, and full of personality... Chai understood the assignment. 🩵

The kind of update we LOVE to share! 🩵🐱

Leo came to NVC Braeswood as an emergency with a urinary blockage, a serious and potentially life threatening condition in male cats. Our team placed a urinary catheter and hospitalized him overnight with IV fluids while keeping a close eye on his recovery.

And we’re very happy to report that Leo is urinating on his own again and got to go home! ❤️ We even got a very large amount of evidence on his towel to prove it. 😂 Never have we been so excited about cat p*e!

Urinary blockages can become emergencies quickly. If your male cat is repeatedly going to the litter box, straining to urinate, producing little or no urine, crying, vomiting, or acting unusually, seek veterinary care right away.

Apparently sleeping on the bed is overrated. This sweet patient decided it made a much better pregnancy pillow instead. 😂❤️

From ultrasound to surgery… and we found the culprit! 🐱🔎🩵

Remember our behind the scenes ultrasound patient who came in for vomiting? The ultrasound confirmed a pyloric obstruction, and to surgery we went!

During surgery, we discovered a hairball had perfectly wedged itself at the opening where the stomach empties into the small intestine, creating a blockage and preventing food and stomach contents from moving through normally. ❤️

Hairballs are usually associated with a little coughing and an unpleasant surprise on the carpet, but occasionally they can cause a much more serious problem. This one definitely chose the wrong place to get stuck! 😳🐾

From X rays, to ultrasound, to surgery, having advanced diagnostics available at NVC Braeswood helped us figure out what was happening and get this kitty the care they needed. 💙

This kitty came to NVC Braeswood for vomiting, so our team started with X rays before and after an e***a to get a closer look at what was happening internally. When we needed more answers, we turned to our in house ultrasound, which confirmed a pyloric obstruction, meaning there was a blockage preventing the stomach from emptying normally. ❤️

These behind the scenes moments show just how valuable advanced diagnostics can be. Ultrasound gives us a real time look inside the body and can help uncover problems that may not be fully visible on X rays alone. 💙

Sometimes vomiting is the first clue that something more is going on. 🐱🩵

This kitty came to NVC Braeswood after experiencing vomiting, so our team took X rays to get a better look at what was happening internally. After evaluating the initial images, an e***a was performed, followed by additional X rays to see the changes afterward. ❤️

Diagnostics like X rays can give your veterinary team valuable information that we simply can’t see from the outside and help guide the next steps in treatment. 💙

This little kitten learned the hard way that cats don’t always land on their feet. 😿🐾

After taking a fall and breaking a leg, this sweet baby came to NVC Braeswood and is officially living the splint life... and as you can probably tell, they are not impressed. 😂🩵

A splint helps keep the injured leg supported and protected while the bone heals, but convincing an energetic kitten to embrace rest and limited activity is a whole different challenge! ❤️

For now, it’s plenty of rest, lots of love, and hopefully a sp*edy recovery. 💙🐱

Meet Archie, our little post surgery overachiever! 😂🐾🩵

Archie came to NVC Braeswood for his neuter and apparently nobody told him he was supposed to act like he just had surgery. He woke up ready to go, full of energy, affection, and absolutely no interest in taking it easy. ❤️

Just an orange cat being an orange cat. 😂🧡 This active little lovebug kept our team smiling throughout recovery. Now comes the hard part... convincing Archie that rest and recover actually means REST.

We’re sending this sweet boy lots of love while he heals! 💙
