Little Corolla Available for adoption.

08/12/2026

Today, Maggo’s Avian Sanctuary received a call from a local pet store asking for our assistance with two canaries in need of immediate care.

Both canaries had leg bands that had become too tight, causing injuries and discomfort to their legs. We responded and picked up both birds so they could receive the care they needed.

They are now safely in our care and receiving treatment. Their leg bands are being carefully removed, and their injured legs are being treated while we monitor their recovery.

Situations like this are an important reminder that leg bands should be checked regularly. As birds grow or if swelling or an injury develops, a band that is too tight can quickly become a serious problem.

We are thankful that the pet store reached out for help before their injuries became even more severe.

🙏 Please keep these two little canaries in your thoughts as they begin their recovery. We’ll continue to provide them with the care, safety, and attention they need.

Every bird deserves a chance. Every life matters. 🐦💛

We've been incredibly busy over the past couple of days, so we wanted to give everyone an update on what's been happening here at **Maggo's Avian Sanctuary**! 🦜💚

We've welcomed several new feathered friends into our care, including **parakeets, conures, cockatoo, and cockatiels**, along with a few local wildlife rescues that also needed our help. Every bird that comes through our doors receives the care, love, and rehabilitation they deserve.

As our rescue continues to grow, we're working hard to build **new aviaries** so we can safely house more birds in needez. We still need your support to make this possible.

If you're able to make a donation—no matter the amount—it will go directly toward building these new aviaries and providing food, medical care, and enrichment for the birds in our care.

If you're not able to donate at this time, you can still make a huge difference by **sharing our GoFundMe** with your friends and family. Every share helps us reach more people who may be able to support our mission.

Thank you for believing in what we do and for helping us give these amazing birds a second chance. 🦜❤️

Good afternoon, everyone!

We wanted to share a quick update from our rescue. We've been incredibly busy behind the scenes making improvements and working hard to raise funds to build new aviaries for the birds in our care. These new aviaries will allow us to provide better housing and help us rescue and rehabilitate even more feathered friends.

To everyone who has sent us a message, thank you for your patience. We are working through all of our messages as quickly as possible and appreciate your understanding.

If you have contacted us about surrendering your feathered baby, we will be responding to all surrender inquiries today.

If you have already completed a surrender application, please send us another message so we can get you scheduled for a drop-off or pickup time for your bird(s).

Thank you for your continued support, kindness, and patience. Every donation, share, and word of encouragement helps us continue our mission of providing a safe place for birds in need. ❤️🦜

If you'd like to support our Aviary Fundraiser and help us build new aviaries for the birds in our care, we would be incredibly grateful for your generosity.

Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to providing a safer, healthier environment for our feathered residents and allowing us to help even more birds in need.

08/04/2026

I’m Luis, and I run Maggo’s Avian Sanctuary—a place where birds who have been abandoned, neglected, or surrendered find safety, care, and hope for a brighter future. Our mission is to give every bird a chance to heal, recover, and eventually find a loving forever home. We provide proper nutrition, veterinary care, and enriching environments so each bird can thrive physically and emotionally.

As the number of birds needing our help continues to grow, we’ve reached the limits of our current space. To keep rescuing and rehabilitating these wonderful animals, we urgently need to build new, safe aviaries. Your support will help us create spacious homes, offer specialized care, and prepare more birds for adoption. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to giving these birds the second chance they deserve.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing our fundraiser is another wonderful way to help. Thank you for your kindness and compassion—together, we can make a real difference for the birds at Maggo’s Avian Sanctuary.

We have the following ready for their forever home. One DYH Amazon and 2 Congo African Greys

05/03/2026

We have this beautiful African Grey parrot that juat came off quarantine. He is very lovable and is slow on trusting new people, but once he does he will talk and make all type of noises. He was a surrender from Louisiana, owner was working 12+ hours and he started plucking his feathers since he was no longer getting the attention he needed.
