Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary is a 501c3 that provides a safe haven for animals with no other home or shelter. We prepare animals for adoption by providing respite, rehabilitation and socialization. For those animals whose chances of adoption are reduced due to age, medical or emotional issues, Hallie Hill provides a loving Forever Home with the proper shelter, nutrition and medical care. We can’t

change an animal’s past, but we can rewrite their future. Hallie Hill helps Charleston to achieve the status of a No-Kill Community by working with local shelters and rescues to take in dogs that might not get adopted due to age, medical or behavioral issues. Hallie Hill has over 30 acres of land with large enclosures for dogs to live and play. Our facility features a pond for swimming, dog houses with straw and heat lamps, bedding, and individual pools to help keep animals comfortable.

Next Sunday, Charles Towne Landing will be filled with beautiful cars, local creativity, great food, adoptable dogs, and plenty of reasons to spend the afternoon with Hallie Hill. ❤️

Animals, Art & Automobiles brings together car lovers, artists, local vendors, families, and animal lovers for a fun day supporting the more than 200 dogs and cats who call the Sanctuary home.

Happily at Home 🏡🐾

There is nothing better than seeing a Hallie Hill animal begin a new chapter with a family of their own. ❤️

We are so happy to share that Dr. Frank (Frankie), Nyx, Big Boi, Sally Carrera, Lightning McQueen (Enzo), Montana, Edisto (Calypso), Doc Hudson (Pepper), and Capers (Atlas) are all happily at home!

Each adoption is a special reminder of what can happen when the right animal and the right family find one another. We are incredibly grateful to these adopters for opening their hearts and homes, and for giving each of these animals a place to settle in, feel loved, and make themselves at home. 🐶🐱

Thank you as well to our wonderful Hallie Hill community for cheering on our animals, sharing their stories, and supporting the work that helps make happy endings like these possible.

We have three new faces at Hallie Hill, and we are excited to introduce them to you.

Meet Pecan, Rumpole, and Susie, three dogs who are settling into life at the Sanctuary and getting plenty of time, care, and affection as they adjust to their new surroundings. ❤️

As we get to know them better, we will continue updating their profiles and sharing more about their personalities, favorite things, and what makes each of them special.

For now, we are simply happy to have them here and look forward to learning more about them in the days ahead.

🐾🩺 September Mobile Vet Clinic at Hallie Hill 🩺🐾

Our next mobile veterinary clinic is coming up on Thursday, September 24, and we are grateful to welcome PETSinc back to Hallie Hill for another day of affordable, accessible care for local pets. 💚

Wellness services will be available from 11 am-2 pm with no appointment needed, including exams, vaccines, bloodwork, preventatives, and more.

Spay and neuter procedures are available by advance registration, with appointments for cats and dogs.

Meet Cayenne, a 6-year-old sweetheart with plenty of personality packed into her petite 20-pound frame. ❤️

Cayenne may be a little shy when she first meets someone new, but give her some time to get comfortable and her affectionate, playful personality begins to shine. Once she trusts you, she is a loyal little companion with plenty of love to share.

She also gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. And as you can see, Cayenne takes her responsibilities very seriously, especially when there is an empty food bowl that needs to be delivered. 😄

If you are looking for a smaller pup with a little sass, a gentle heart, and plenty of charm, Cayenne might just be your match.

Dogs are constantly communicating with us, even without saying a word. A wagging tail, a quick lick of the lips, a change in posture, or a simple turn of the head can all offer clues about how they are feeling.

In our latest blog, we take a closer look at canine body language and some of the subtle signals that can help us better understand the dogs in our lives. 🐶

Xena (prev. Mona) is a beautiful 2-year-old German Shepherd mix with an energetic spirit, a playful side, and plenty of personality waiting to shine.

She can be a little tentative when meeting someone new, but once she feels comfortable, Xena warms up quickly. She enjoys spending time with other dogs, loves to run, and would be happiest with plenty of space to stretch those long legs. 🐕💨

A home with a fenced-in yard could be a great fit for Xena, giving her room to play, explore, and enjoy all that energy.
