At Professional Pups Dog Training, we want you and your dog to have a relationship built on trust and respect. Do you want your dog to not jump on guests coming into your house? As an obedience foundation is built, your dog will learn to look to you if they are confused or unsure about something. They will not be forced to guess if something is right or wrong. You will be taught how to guide them

to the right decision. As an owner it is up to you to make the commitment to create this relationship. A Professional Pup may not be made overnight, but having a dog you can trust and who trusts you is worth the wait.

Franklin the standard poodle is finishing up our Lifestyle Program this week (don’t worry he does have eyes under that hair)! He is very skittish and had been escalating to snapping and lunging at people at home. He is a dog who doesn’t love to be touched generally and he began to not trust humans who invaded his space without permission. We worked on proving to him that humans will actually listen to his signals of discomfort so he doesn’t have to escalate. We built his confidence with lots of walks in nature, play, and obedience. He is such a love bug now and has no issues being around new people who respect him. As his owner continues to work with him at home, he’ll become more and more confident and trusting! 🖤

Archie the 6 year old Golden Retriever is completing our Lifestyle Program this week to work on coming when called, dropping items when asked, and not barking for attention when guests come over! He’s a classic golden who is all about having fun ALL THE TIME! But sometimes his fun involves playing chase me, grabbing sticks and bolting, and making sure he’s center of attention 24/7. He’s come a long way and is realizing training can be fun too! 💛
