Barker’s Barkin’ Buddies is sad to announce the passing of one of our Feline Friends. We just learned about the passing of our feline friend Charlie, he passed a couple weeks ago and we will truly miss him. Charlie is the feline brother to Marley and Shadow; as well as the brother to Van and Remi. I started taking care of Charlie and his fur siblings a couple of years ago. At the time his brother Smokey was still alive, he sadly passed not long ago. In the beginning Charlie kept his distance each time I came over to visit and take care of him and his siblings. Slowly Charlie started coming closer and closer to me each visit to let me pet him. Eventually he started trusting me more and as soon as I walked through the door he was sitting there waiting for me to come in. He started enjoying our visits and getting his head and back scratched and massaged. After some time passed he started walking straight up to me and it was like he was saying “you know what to do, get to petting” 😆 I will miss seeing Charlie when I go take care of his siblings; but I know he is enjoying spending time with his brother Smokey and getting all the wet food his heart desires. As we like to say at Barker’s Barkin’ Buddies, once you become a Barkin’ Buddy, you are always a Barkin’ Buddy. Or in Charlie’s case a Feline Friend. Rest In Peace Charlie, we will miss you.

My eyes are getting heavy now, my time has come to leave, but one thing | must tell you as you stay behind to grieve...
You always did your best for me, your love it knew no end, really was a Lucky Cat to have you as my Friend.
I see how much you miss me now, your days seem bleak and bare, I know you well, your heart is big, you still have love to share.
So please don't sit and cry for me, we'll meet around the bend, til then another Lucky cat is waiting for a Friend.
