Before Archie the young doodle arrived into training, he would absolutely lose it when seeing other dogs. His family reported Archie would fling himself head on at other dogs passing by and was so difficult to control they were limiting walks and instead taking him to the lake.
So I'm especially proud of Archie during our last morning training session today where he faced his toughest challenge...another cute dog making party moves in his direction.
This adorable beagle gave us an excellent opportunity to work through Archie handling the very difficult, teenage doodle emotional experience of not getting to play with every dog who wants to. The horror 😅
I like that Archie was clearly interested in saying hello but easily chose to keep moving with me without any drama.
Well done Archie! I know how hard processing frustration can be and this shows me how far you have come.
