Poor Goose (the horse) has had such a hard time since he’s come here. Initially, he had to take a series of Adequan injections for arthritis which caused him to be horribly needle shy. Attacked by a wild animal on his withers leaving a huge gash that seemed to take forever to heal. Once that was healed, we realized he was lame during his saddle fitting. Found out he broke his coffin bone and had to be sedated and confined til that healed. Got the bone healed and found out he had ulcers from that experience. Got the ulcers healed and JUST got to start riding him again this past week. Today he had to be sedated THREE times to get sleepy enough to draw blood for his coggins. Whew…after today, I am praying for clear sailing for he and Addison.
