Some days it feels like you're falling behind.

But comparison has a way of making good progress feel invisible.

China is building data centers on the ocean floor. Instead of relying heavily on giant air-conditioning systems or freshwater cooling, these underwater facilities use the ocean as a natural cooling source.

Sealed pressure-resistant modules on the seabed dissipate heat into the surrounding seawater, which acts as a natural cooling source.

Early projects off Shanghai and Hainan show significant efficiency gains: the Shanghai project’s designers estimated about 22.8% lower overall energy consumption, while the Hainan facility has been reported to be 40–60% more power-efficient than traditional facilities, with little or no freshwater needed for cooling.

One major center even runs mostly on offshore wind power. It’s a creative way to handle the huge cooling demands of modern AI data centers while cutting both energy use and water waste.

🚨 FOSTER HOMES NEEDED URGENTLY! 🚨

Five Great Pyrenees were just abandoned in North Florida after their owner moved out of the country. These sweet, gentle giants need temporary loving homes while we work to find their forever families.

Fostering saves lives — without foster homes, these dogs have nowhere safe to go. You don’t have to make a long-term commitment; even a few weeks of love, care, and attention makes a huge difference. 🐾

If you have space in your heart and home, please apply to foster today:
