I’m so excited to support my friends at Emergency Animal Hospital of Ellicott City and their upcoming Great Bark Bash!

As someone whose entire life and career has revolved around animals, I know how quickly an unexpected veterinary emergency can happen — and how heartbreaking it can be when finances stand between a family and the care their pet desperately needs.

The Great Bark Bash benefits their Veterinary Care Fund, which helps provide emergency medical care to pets whose families are experiencing financial hardship.

🐾🎉 INTRODUCING THE INAUGURAL GREAT BARK BASH! 🎉🐾

We are thrilled to officially announce the very first Great Bark Bash—an exciting new community fundraiser hosted by the Emergency Animal Hospital of Ellicott City in support of our Veterinary Care Fund!

Now just a little over three weeks away, the Great Bark Bash will bring together local families, animal lovers, veterinary professionals, rescue organizations, and pet-focused businesses for an unforgettable afternoon of animals, entertainment, and family-friendly fun.

Most importantly, every admission helps support the Emergency Animal Hospital of Ellicott City’s Veterinary Care Fund through the Veterinary Care Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This fund helps provide essential veterinary care to pets whose families are experiencing financial hardship.

We are also incredibly excited to recognize Fusion Veterinary Orthopedics as the Presenting Sponsor of the inaugural Great Bark Bash! Their generous support is helping us bring this event to life and create a fun, meaningful day for our community while raising funds for pets in need. 💙

The Great Bark Bash will also feature an adoption area where guests can meet animals searching for their forever homes and learn more about the incredible work being done by local rescue organizations. Even if you are not currently looking to adopt, you can stop by, meet the animals, support the participating rescues, and discover other ways to get involved.

We had the pleasure of attending a communication workshop with Amy Newfield of Vet Team Training, and what an incredible day of learning it was!

We learned more about ourselves and our individual personalities, as well as how we can better understand and communicate with one another as a team. We gained so many valuable tools and insights that we’re excited to put into practice!

A huge thank-you to Dr. Sharma of VivaVets for allowing us to use their space for our training, and to Bryanna for helping us throughout the day. We’re so grateful for your hospitality!

And, as always, Maggie from IDEXX spoiled us with delicious meals to keep us fueled throughout the entire day!

Finally, a HUGE thank-you to our Clinical Support Team Manager, Kaitlyn! She organized everything, coordinated all the details, and worked hard to rework our regular schedules so that our entire team could participate. We truly appreciate everything she did to make this day possible!

We learned so much, laughed a lot, and left feeling even more connected as a team. We can’t wait to put all of our new skills to work!

Help us congratulate Adriana on becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician!

Adriana’s journey started at Towson University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Animal Behavior and Function. Her passion for helping animals eventually led her to CCBC’s Veterinary Technician program, where she put in countless hours of studying, hard work, and dedication.

We’ve been lucky enough to have Adriana as part of our team here at Emergency Animal Hospital of Ellicott City throughout her journey. Working in emergency medicine gave her valuable hands-on experience and allowed her to grow her skills.

We’ve loved watching her grow both personally and professionally, and we couldn’t be more proud of this accomplishment!

Congratulations, Adriana! We’re so excited to see where this next chapter takes you. You’ve worked incredibly hard for this, and we’re grateful to have been part of the journey.
