We wanted to let you know that we are currently transitioning to a computerized records system to better serve you and your pet(s). This new system will allow us to communicate more efficiently with other practices, improve access to patient information, and enhance care here at Dunloggin

As our staff becomes familiar with the new system and we make adjustments to our workflow, you will notice that our schedule is booking a little further out than usual. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our whole team works through this learning curve.

We are committed to making this transition as smoothly as possible and believe these improvements will ultimately allow us to provide you and your pet(s) with better, more efficient service.

To anyone coming into the hospital this morning:
There is a tree across the road on Frederick Rd east of the Library. The state police have Frederick Rd closed at Plumtree Rd. If you are coming from the west, you will need to adjust your route.

Happy July!!

We are open regular hours July 1-3. We will be CLOSED on July 4th. If your pet(s) needs any medications for the upcoming fireworks weekend, please give us a call.

As a reminder - please keep your pets inside during fireworks. July 4th is one of the most likely days of the year for a pet to go missing.

Keep a watch for those potential food dangers - grapes, raisins, chocolate, products with xylitol (also called birch sugar) in them, garlic, onions, alcohol, caffeine, etc. (not an all inclusive list)
These are/can be TOXIC to your dog.

Other people foods may cause vomiting and diarrhea, please keep a watch on them.

This weekend is also slated to be very hot. The safest place for your pet is inside in the air-conditioning. Temps above 80 are a high risk of overheating your dog, above 90 it is a MAJOR risk for heatstroke. Not to mention surface temperatures will be well above 100 degrees.

If your dog needs to be walked, do so early in the morning and late at night. Very brief periods outside for potty breaks during the day as necessary are ok.

We will be closed for Memorial Day.

We are open today and tomorrow until 7:00p, Friday until 6:00p and Saturday until 1:00p if you need to come pick up any medications or food.

Our client database is currently down. We can take phone calls and requests, but we cannot process any of those requests immediately. Our IT team is currently working on the problem, and they hope to have us back up quickly. Thank you for your understanding.

Happy Veterinary Receptionist Week!!
We want to thank the wonderful ladies that make up our Customer Service Specialist staff for all that they do for the hospital and, especially, for our clients. These are the ladies that answer your calls and questions, take your prescription refill requests, read your emails, forward records to the specialists and kennels and schedule your appointments plus so much more.
An average month for these ladies entails 3500+ phone interactions, 3,000 text messages, over 1200 appointment check-ins then check outs, and hundreds of people coming in to pick up food and prescriptions. Plus all the requests from the doctors and myself.
We appreciate all that they do for Dunloggin!!
