’Twas the night before a birthday, and all through Paws Up,
Not a creature was stirring—not even a pup. 🐾

The lounge was decked out with pumpkins and flair,
For our king of Halloween, a surprise waited there! 🎃

With treats on the table and ghosts standing by,
Whose birthday is coming? Take a guess—don’t be shy! 👻🎂

We celebrated a year of Paws Up on 9/29! And as we reflect on this incredible milestone, I can’t help but think about Bulldog Better becoming a special part of our journey this past February.

We saved 6 bully breeds, all coming from unfortunate circumstances that could’ve resulted in euthanasia due to their medical costs and complexities.

Sir Angelo was our second rescue and first adoption success (considering that Olive was foster failed 😂😜 by Jessica)…our third rescue, Hank, was later foster fished by Dr. Cujdik… 🤣

We’re grateful beyond words for the support along the way. Thank you to the friends, family, and clients for your unwavering belief in our mission.

Small boy. Big recovery. A second chance worth fighting for. ❤️

Meet Iggy, a handsome, 32-pound bulldog who recently underwent his neuter and complete BOAS surgery with Dr. Cujdik. Along with his airway needs, this little guy has been battling skin, ear, and joint issues. His exam also revealed injuries concerning (& ear cropping) for possible use as a bait dog. While we may never know his full story, we’re grateful to be part of his next chapter.

Iggy is making an incredible recovery, and we believe he’ll make the perfect addition to someone’s family someday.

Dr. Cujdik has worked with Defenders of Animal Rights for years, especially their bulldog rescues, and we’re so thankful for the care and second chances they provide.

Stay tuned for more updates on our sweet little guy!
