The May sustaining lists for the Texas Classic Futurity, Texas Classic Derby and Purina Feeds Texas Classic Oaks are now posted on the TQHA website. The next sustaining payment is due June 15th. It is $400 for each race.

Payments must be postmarked by June 15th. If you are making the payment from your THP Account you need to contact the THP at 512-467-9799 by June 15th. If you want to make your payment over the phone with a credit card please call 512-458-5202.

Payments can also be made online with a credit card by clicking on the link https://bigsky.formstack.com/forms/tqha_racing_payments

If you did not pay into the Texas Classic Races and want to pay in late the total to pay in is $5,050 by June 15th.

Don’t forget to sign up for the TQHA Race Experience! Join us on June 13th at Sam Houston Race Park for a fun-filled day at the races.

The day will include a morning tour of the track and the opportunity to attend the races that evening!

Mark your calendar!!

The TQHA is working with Sam Houston Race Park on hosting a Texas Youth Racing Experience Day on June 13 at Sam Houston Race Park.

Below you will find the flyer for this event. Kids will be taken on a tour of the Sam Houston Race Park grandstand area, the saddling paddock, jockey’s room and also be able to watch horses during morning training. They will then be escorted into the stable area and be able to meet and visit with race office staff, a few trainers, and see up close some of the horses that participate in the Sam Houston Race Park races. Parents are also invited to join the tour. The tour should end before lunch.
Then later that evening tour participants (and their parents) will be given free admission and will be able to watch all the night’s races in the TQHA suite where hot dogs and hamburgers will be served. The races begin at 6:45 PM.

In the past this has been a very popular event with the youth members of the TQHA as well as with the show horse kids. This year we would like to see as many of the racing family kids participate as well.

REMINDER...CONSIGNMENT FORMS ARE DUE IN THE TQHA OFFICES BY MAY 1ST.

Consignment Forms for the 2026 TQHA Yearling Sale are now available on the TQHA Website at https://www.tqha.com/events/annual-yearling-sale/ The 2026 sale will once again be held at the Freeman Expo Hall in San Antonio, TX and will be held on July 24th and 25th. This sale is restricted to foals of 2025 who are Accredited Texas Bred. Completed consignment forms are due in the TQHA Offices by no later than May 1, 2026. All yearlings that pass through the sale ring will be eligible to the $200,000 Added 2027 TQHA Sale Futurity. For information or questions about the sale contact the TQHA at 512-458-5202.
