At Garden State German Shepherd Rescue , we’re especially grateful for the loyalty, courage, and devotion German Shepherds have shown alongside our service members throughout history. Today we honor the fallen, support the living, and give extra love to the dogs who serve both on and off the battlefield.

As we gather with family and friends, may we never forget the true meaning of this day. ❤️🤍💙

🚨 URGENT: FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR PRINCY BY MAY 31 🚨
Princy is a sweet 7-year-old girl who loves cuddling at home and relaxing in the backyard. She is currently facing an urgent situation because her owner must leave the country unexpectedly for emergency family care.
We are desperately trying to find Princy a foster or forever home before May 31. Without placement, her owner will have no choice but to surrender her to an overcrowded shelter — and we all know how risky that can be for dogs like her.
🏡 Princy’s ideal home:
• No other dogs or cats
• Children ages 8+
• A calm, loving environment where she can feel safe and secure
Princy deserves a chance to stay out of the shelter and into a caring home. Even fostering temporarily could save her life.

Meet Tiny Tina 💥🐾

Don’t let the name fool you — Tiny Tina may be small, but she has a HUGE personality packed into that little shepherd body.

Tiny Tina is a 4-month-old purebred German Shepherd puppy with a busy mind, a confident spirit, and absolutely no concept of being shy. She approaches life head-on, always ready to explore, investigate, and figure out what’s happening around her. This girl is smart, curious, and clearly wants a “job” to do.

She’s the kind of puppy who will thrive with training, enrichment, and an active family who enjoys working with intelligent dogs. Whether it’s learning obedience, hiking, agility, scent work, or simply being involved in daily life, Tiny Tina is happiest when her brain is engaged.

Like many intelligent working-breed puppies, Tina can create her own entertainment if she gets bored. One of her quirky habits is spinning and chasing her tail when she has extra energy or needs more mental stimulation. Her foster family has been working on redirecting that behavior with toys, chews, play, and appropriate enrichment, and she’s responding really well.

Despite her confident personality, Tina is still very much a puppy and is learning the world around her. She plays wonderfully with her brother Chase and her foster sister, a large German Shepherd mix, and she loves having canine friends to wrestle and learn from.

Tiny Tina is crate trained and continuing to work on housebreaking. She’s eager to learn, highly observant, and already showing the loyalty and drive German Shepherds are known for.

If you’re looking for a smart, confident puppy who will grow into an incredible companion and adventure partner, Tiny Tina might just be your girl. 🖤

Meet Chase 🖤🐾

Chase is a 4-month-old purebred German Shepherd puppy looking for his forever family! This handsome boy is equal parts playful and sweet, with a personality that is really starting to blossom now that he’s learning what it means to just be a puppy.

Chase is crate trained and doing a great job working on housebreaking. He’s smart, eager to learn, and thrives with patience and consistency. While he’s still discovering the world around him, he’s already showing how adaptable and loving he can be.

One of the sweetest things about Chase is that he has a wonderful “off switch.” He enjoys playing and exploring, but he also settles nicely and loves relaxing near his people. Because he didn’t have much exposure to toys before coming into foster care, everything is new and exciting for him — and today he played his very first game of tug!

Chase also loves other dogs. He plays wonderfully with his sibling, Tiny Tina, as well as his foster sister, a large German Shepherd mix. He’s learning so much from them and enjoys having canine companions to romp around with and build confidence alongside.

Chase would do best with a family committed to continuing his training, socialization, and confidence building. In return, you’ll get a loyal best friend with so much potential and so much love to give.

Time is running out we need placement for Princy. To send her to a shelter is definitely not a choice and boarding a 7 year old after living in the only home with her humans is not best for this sweet girl.

Please if you can open your home please fill out the foster or adoption form.

URGENT PLACEMENT

Princy needs our immediate help Foster or Adopter.

Beautiful Princy is still young at heart at 7 years old and loves spending her days playing and relaxing with her humans, whether she’s out in the yard or cozy at home.

Princy was hoping she had a little bit more time with her only owners, but unfortunately, her owners have to leave the country soon then planned for family needs, so she needs a home by May 31st.

We are a Foster base rescue so we’re asking for an immediate fostery or an adopter to take Princy into their home. We can’t even bear the thoughts of her, going to a shelter after living in her home, all her life.

Princy needs are:
Home with a yard Teenage or adult children
No other pets as she was never socialized with any other animals
Some help with leash manners but also enjoys being a home buddy whether it’s inside or in the yard.

Princy loves to meet people and gets excited and may even jump up and give you a kiss when she first meets you.

Rosie’s Story ❤️

Life didn’t start out easy for Rosie. She spent her early life tied inside an apartment, never seeing the outside world and never being socialized with people or other animals.
Thankfully, a good Samaritan saw Rosie’s situation and knew he had to help. Even without a plan, he took her to safety. Unfortunately, living in an apartment himself, he wasn’t able to keep her long term, so he reached out to us for help.
What we quickly learned is that Rosie is a truly sweet girl with no aggression at all — just fear of a world she has never known.

Over the past several weeks, our fosters and volunteers have worked patiently with Rosie, giving her the chance to simply be a dog. She’s explored yards, enjoyed the outdoors, and slowly been introduced to other dogs. Little by little, Rosie has started to show us the beautiful soul she really is.
Rosie still needs leash training since she was never walked or properly exposed to the outside world before. She would do best in a calm, quiet home with patient people who understand that she is still learning that she is safe.

She has not been around children so older teenage/adult would be best . She may do well with a confident cat or a calm, confident male dog. While Rosie is comfortable around other dogs, she doesn’t quite know how to play yet because she never had the chance to learn.

After watching her run and play in the yard, we now believe Rosie is younger than originally thought — approximately 2 years old.

More than anything, Rosie wants a human companion or family who will continue helping her grow into the happy, confident dog she deserves to be.

Meet Quelle & Robby — a bonded married couple looking for their forever home together ❤️

🐾 Robby is 7 years old and about 100 lbs of pure mush. He absolutely loves attention, loves hugs and the shepherd lean that will melt your heart ♥️
He’s wonderful with people and has the sweetest personality. Robby has the darker face.

🐾 Quelle is 6 years old and around 90 lbs. She’s a loving, gentle girl who adores belly rubs, kisses, and especially the water.

These two are well-bred, trained, easy going companions who are ready to settle into a loving home. Don’t let their ages discourage you — they still have so much love and life to give.

🏡 Home Requirements:�• They must be the ONLY pets in the home�• Quelle cannot live or interact with female dogs�• Robby does well with female dogs of all sizes�• Neither dog does well with puppies�• They currently live with cats — Quelle is good with them, and Robby is manageable/okay with them

FOSTERS NEEDED

We truly appreciate all of the recent and past foster applications we’ve received. Unfortunately, at this time we do not have any pups available for placement that would be a good fit for your family.

Right now, we are specifically in need of foster homes without other pets and with either older teens or adult children. Kosho may be the only dog we could potentially place in a home with a confident, calm female dog.

We know summer is approaching, and this can be a difficult time since many people travel and fostering is a serious commitment. However, without fosters or applicants who meet the specific needs of these dogs, we are unable to safely place them in homes.

We sincerely appreciate your interest, support, and willingness to help these dogs in need.
