Think snake season ends with summer? Think again. 🍂🐕

September is one of the busiest months for snake bites in dogs. 🐍

As you head out to enjoy the outdoors, snakes too are still active in cooler weather. In fact, one of the most dangerous parts about a snake bite is that you may never even see the snake!
Awareness is the best prevention.

Check out where to expect the unexpected snake encounters, how to deal with a baby snake bite, what a snake bite looks like and how to take action. Hint: they don’t always look like two fang punctures.

Save and share this post to help keep more pups safe this fall. 🍁🐾

Remember: every suspected venomous snake bite is an emergency.
Call VEG or just walk in, we’re open 24/7, every day.

Emergency vet med can be rough, but with the right support in place, ER professionals can not just survive, but thrive. Emergency Doctor Alexa O’Daniel chats about just how that support shows up at VEG. ✌️

In our ER’s, support goes beyond training and teamwork. It’s about looking out for each other, checking in after the tough cases, and creating space for honest conversations. A little compassion can go a long way, especially in a profession that gives so much of itself every day.

When people feel supported, seen, and cared for, they can keep showing up for pets, pet parents, and each other. ❤️ Say yes to at veg.com/careers
