🐶 Puppy socialization is about more than meeting other dogs. It’s about learning: “The world is a safe place, and new experiences are okay.”
Cooper started his morning at 701 Fitness Co during open gym. New place. New sounds. New people. And one VERY big dog. 😂
A little humble puppy dance...accepted. ✔️
Then he was off to meet the next being—which happened to be Dr. Raul!!!! Raul Casas-Dolz
Fast-forward a few hours, and Cooper walks into State Ave Vet for his very first puppy visit and—hey!—there’s that guy from the gym!
**That matters.**
With plenty of cheese and gentle handling, Dr. Raul works his way through a complete puppy exam. Most of it feels suspiciously like a massage with snacks. Even Cooper's vaccination happens while he's busy with cheese and attention.
This is preventative medicine, too.
Those early positive experiences—with animals, people, places, sounds, handling, and yes, the veterinary clinic—help puppies learn to feel safe and confident in their world.
And when we can make those first veterinary visits feel like cheese, attention and a really thorough massage?
**That's a pretty good place to start.** ❤️🐾
