Honoring Those Who Served- On Two Legs and Four. 🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country and the loyal military dogs who served and fell right beside them.

One of them was Kaiser, a German Shepherd and U.S. Marine Corps scout dog. Paired with his handler, Lance Corporal Alfredo Salazar, the two became inseparable, running more than 30 combat patrols together in Vietnam. Kaiser walked point again and again, leading Marines through danger and warning them of ambushes they never would have seen coming.

On July 6, 1966, while leading a night patrol, Kaiser was struck during an ambush. He died trying to lick his handler's hand, becoming the first U.S. military working dog killed in action in the Vietnam War. His fellow Marines buried him at their base and renamed it Camp Kaiser in his honor.

Today we remember Kaiser, and every soldier and service dog who gave everything. They served with courage. They died with honor. And they will never be forgotten. 🐾

In their memory, we are closed today, Monday, May 25. We'll reopen Tuesday, May 26.

Thank you to all who gave their lives for our freedom.

Some dogs bring bravery.
Some bring attitude.
And some bring their emotional support monkey. 🐵❤️

This sweet 2-year-old Mastiff came in for her visit carrying her stuffed monkey everywhere she went — including onto the scale — and absolutely refused to let it go. Honestly, we respected the commitment. 😂

Behind every giant dog is sometimes just a very big baby who needs a little comfort item at the vet.

Moments like this are one of the best parts of veterinary medicine. 💜

We loved seeing this story in the Dickinson Press about Furever Full.
This isn’t just a nice idea—it’s real, boots-on-the-ground work that’s now helping hundreds of families in our community keep their pets fed and at home where they belong.

The two women behind this are the real deal. They saw a need and built something that actually solves it. Quietly. Consistently. No fanfare—just showing up and doing the work.

If you’ve been looking for a way to help locally—this is one of the most direct ways to do it. Donations (food or financial) go straight to helping pets stay with the people who love them.

🐾 Donate if you’re able-If you’re able, consider supporting their mission—every bag of food, every dollar, helps keep a family together.

Pet lovers interested in learning more, volunteering or wanting to give financially can reach the pantry via email [email protected] or through the Furever Full page.

A local pet food pantry started after a woman realized people surrendered pets for financial reasons. In 2025, the group helped 300+ families keep their pets — serving up over 50,000 pounds of food.

🐾 Flea & Tick Season Is Here. Is Your Pet Protected?

As the weather warms up, flea and tick season is officially underway. From spring through fall, these parasites become more active, especially in grassy areas, trails, and even your own backyard.

Prevention matters:
✔️ Keep your pet on year-round flea & tick prevention
✔️ Check your pet after outdoor activities
✔️ Maintain your yard (trim grass, remove debris)

📩 Message or call us to get your pet started on prevention today!

Lucy is headed home… and she brought a new look with her 🐾

After getting her ear all stitched up, she’s rocking a stylish little head wrap—very babushka chic—and she is VERY proud of it.

The reunion with her dad? Pure joy ❤️

A few stitches, a lot of love, and one very happy lab headed home.

Heal up, Lucy—we think you’re pulling this look off beautifully.
