☀️Where is summer going? ☀️ Just a few friendly reminders to everyone

📌 I will be out of the clinic for the next 10 days or so! Dr. Jim Jordan will be at the clinic and he is AMAZING (some of you already know 😃).

📌The clinic will be CLOSED July 3-July 6 for a long holiday weekend 🧨🇺🇸

So, after I get my 18 year old enrolled in college and we do a family trip to unplug, I will be back!

🙏🏻 Thank you so much for the continued support and loyalty…I greatly appreciate it! I promise we are all doing our best to be available and get everyone in a timely manner!
We are always accepting new clients but our current clients take priority!

💩 The special on f***l testing is almost over 🪱

The results have been 👀 opening!
✔️ 1 out of 5 of the samples that have been submitted through us have been ANTIGEN POSITIVE!
What does that mean???
🔬Those samples would have been “negative” on a f***l test done in house. There would have been no parasite eggs visible but the antigen test detects the parasite even if eggs aren’t seen!

Pretty cool but also pretty scary!!

📌You have til JULY 11 to bring us the 💩 for the discounted cost of $20! No appointment necessary!

There is a lot of talk about the New World Screwworm right now and there is no need for panic!
For now it seems to be related to proximity and travel to Mexico. But here are things you should know and watch out for!! 👇🏻

Screwworms are fly larvae (maggots) that feed on **living tissue** and can cause serious damage to dogs and cats. Flies are attracted to open wounds—even small cuts, scratches, tick bites, or surgical sites.

🐾 Watch for:
• Wounds that won't heal
• Foul odor or discharge
• Excessive licking or scratching
• Visible maggots in a wound

🚨 If you see maggots in your pet's wound, contact us immediately!Early treatment is critical.

✅ Prevention tips:
• Check pets regularly for injuries
• Keep wounds clean and protected
• Seek prompt veterinary care for any open wound.

🚘 All pet travel to Mexico is also suspended at this time.

But this breed isn’t for everyone! Gentle giants with a huge heart ❤️ but they also have an even bigger personality which at times can be difficult to manage!
So….if you love this breed do your research and make sure you have a nice sturdy couch! 😂

🤔Remember the Phovia Light? We had another successful case!

Meet Bubbles…this poor girl was attacked by another dog and, what commonly happens, the damage beneath the skin was way worse than we could see!
She came in sore and bruised but what happened days after the attack was shocking! 😮
But after a few Phovia light treatments Bubbles is as good as new!! Photos of her injury and her progress in the comments 💬
