Did you know........
An all seed diet leads to severe vitamin deficiency? Health problems? Behavioral problems? Anxiety? Parrots do not thrive on all seed diets. Even in the wild, parrots eat a diverse diet.
You won’t notice the effects of vitamin deficiency until it’s done plenty of internal damage. The first signs may be behavior changes because your parrot doesn’t feel his or her best. Toward the end there will be illnesses and organ failure . A lifespan could be cut in half.
Truth be told, Seeds provide very little nutrition. Parrots need Vitamin rich raw veggies, and fruit, and tree nuts (not peanuts). And pellets provide these vitamins along with some protein with is also Important to parrot health.
We’re not saying never feed seeds, we are simply saying your parrot will thrive with a more diverse vitamin rich diet🦜
