Did you know about the 3-3-3 rule to transition an animal from a shelter to a home🐾❤️? We know it’s a big commitment to rescue an animal but this rule can help along the way. Most of all with this rule be patient, consistent and of course loving🥰.

3 Days - Is a decompression period, set up a quit safe space area that has food, water and toys. This area should be off limits to other animals!🐶

3 Weeks- is a settling in period, around this time your animal most likely want to explore their new home. You can slowly introduce another animal around this time. Setting up feeding, playtime and bathroom schedules can help your animal feel more comfortable. With these schedules they can also help when your animal starts to show their personality which sometimes comes with behavioral issues such as chewing and barking.

3 Months- is a building trust period, around this time your animal should be feeling at home and forming bonds with their family! To reinforce this positive behavior engage in training sessions and activities such as walks and fetch the ball. Training sessions can also help if behavior issues did occur.

Thank you for all the generous donations throughout the Give Local Alleghany Highlands. With the support of our community we were able to raise 570 dollars and won a power hour of 250 dollars! We at Valley View Rescue want to thank you for your support in helping these dogs!❤️🐾❤️

These adorable kittens are 8 weeks old❤️. They are all female kittens. There are two black cats and a grey cat. The kittens are friendly and eating wet food. They do not have shots!
