Sweet Axel and Topaz were surrendered back to us over the weekend 💔

They arrived back at no fault of their own. These boys are 6 years old, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Axel (orange) is very loveable and can be shy at first, but his personality shines after some time to decompress. Topaz (grey) is a cute bobtail boy who loves to explore and would do best in a home where he has a catio or could go in and out as he pleases. He prefers older kids and humans who are familiar with body language signals, as he enjoys being pet, but has an adventurous/wild side as well. While it is ideal that they be re-homed together, it is not a requirement.

These boys would love a home to settle in as soon as possible. Could that be yours?

🐶‼️ ASTRO NEEDS OUR VILLAGE! ‼️🐶

This past Wednesday, we took a new addition to our rescue family, Astro, to the vet for what we thought would be a routine checkup and neuter. Turns out, this poor boy had Bilateral Entropion, meaning his eyelids were turning into his eyeballs which would affect his vision long-term if not corrected sooner rather than later. Choosing his health will ALWAYS come first, no matter what.

Because this surgery was unexpected, we’re asking for your help to cover Astro’s vet care, medications, and follow-ups. Every single dollar goes directly to his healing and to make sure he can see the world clearly — and seeing all the love waiting for him.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for standing with us and our rescues through it all. 🫶🏼🐾

Remember little Elsa from our Scooby Doo/Cartoon litter last year? This is her now (now named Daisy)! 😱🌼

Daisy comes to visit us for her monthly nail trim and kiss attacks and makes herself right at home! (As you can tell 😆) We look forward to these special moments with our adopted rescues, as it means so much to us to know they're in good hands and hear about all of their fun adventures! 🤝😊

Looking for your next furry friend? Daisy's brother, Scrappy, is still available! Check him out on Petfinder!

Vetting Update! 💉

We've got a new pup, Astro, that we have not formally introduced to our followers yet! 🐶 He's a sweet beefy 4 year old boy who recently had a neuter, exam, and vaccine visit with some not-so-fun surprises in store.

Astro had Entropion, a medical condition where your eyelid turns inward toward your eyeball, causing your eyelashes and skin to rub against the surface of your eye. It was pretty severe in one and mild in the other, so of course we went ahead with the surgery to correct it, as avoiding it would impair his vision long-term. And while we are IMMENSELY grateful for the kindness Highlands Vet Clinic (always ❤️) to lessen the financial burden of our procedures, we still endured an expense that we weren't quite prepared for. 😅

Would you consider making a donation to assist in the care of dogs like Astro? Every dollar counts and enables us to intake other dogs and cats who deserve the BEST and immediate care possible!

If you wish to donate, methods will be listed below. Thank you to EVERYONE who has supported us thus far and allowed us to continue our mission with every like, share, comment, and donation! 🫶🏼🐾

📢 Courtesy post! This dog is not at our rescue! 📢

A local resident is trying to find a home for a sweet pit/mastiff mix. He rescued him from a home where he did not get proper exercise, but he is not getting along with the current owners 7 year old dog. He DOES get along with his 2 year old dog, so it sounds like he would be best placed in a home with a submissive companion! For more information or if interested, please contact Jackie at (540) 970-5259. He works nights so if he does not answer please leave a text or voicemail! 🫶🏼🐕

🦴🙅🏼‍♀️ Adopt Don't Shop! 🙅🏼‍♀️🦴

A testimonial from Connee Elmore:
"This is Diego. He was a senior Foster that I got from Valley View Animal Rescue thanks to my granddaughter Karleigh Perkins Perkins. He was a joy"

Thank you Connee for your testimonial as well as caring for a senior baby! Seniors are terribly overlooked in the rescue world and deserve just as much love as a puppy would! 🥹

We happen to have 2 senior dogs in our care now! If anyone reading this post may be interested in fostering or adopting Radar and Little Ann, please check out the links below!

Everyone meet Buddy! 🧡

While Buddy isn't technically a member of our rescue, he is officially a part of our grooming family, and he means so much to us! His current caretaker found him dropped off at a wedding venue in NC. While he made so many friends and a load of guests said they would take him home, no one stuck to their word. That is until Buddy hopped right into our clients car before she left- almost as if he knew she was a safe person to ask for help (and he was right). 🥺

So here we are! Buddy has been seen by the vet, neutered, and freshly bathed (only his front half, of course) and is ready to find his forever home. His current caretaker is happy to foster him until he finds a new family.

What we know:
-he has pearly whites, meaning he is still quite young 🦷
-he is sassy, and will use his words if he doesn't like what you're doing 😆
-he LOVES to play with people and other dogs. He is attached at the hip to his caretaker's Pyranese mix 👯‍♂️
-he is a softie at heart and only aims to please ❤️‍🩹

While he isn't technically affiliated with our rescue, our client has asked that we assist in vetting wonderful homes and families who will love and play and snuggle our Buddy! Drop any questions you might have about him below, and if interested, please fill out the form linked here! https://forms.office.com/r/qpqJJH6CD2
