The holidays are only a few months away and as usual, holiday appointments will be filled up quickly.

We strongly encourage you to pre-book your appointments for the remainder of the year, or at least book your holiday appointments so your dog doesn’t miss out on looking fresh and festive 🐾

WASH the bowl.

Seriously.

Pet food bowls are not decorative objects. They are food contact surfaces, and the FDA specifically recommends washing pet food bowls with soap and hot water after each use. Water bowls should be washed daily.

And honestly, I think people underestimate how gross they can get.

Food residue.

Saliva.

Moisture.

Bits of kibble sitting in corners.

Then the next meal gets dumped right on top.

If you would not eat dinner off the same dirty plate for three days straight, your dog should not have to either.

Especially if you feed wet food or raw food, where cleanliness matters even more. FDA guidance for raw pet food recommends washing surfaces and bowls thoroughly with hot soapy water and disinfecting when appropriate.

The funny part is people will buy premium food, supplements, filtered water, fancy probiotics, and a $70 orthopedic bowl stand...

Then leave yesterday’s crust glued to the dish.

You do not need a complicated pet wellness routine.

Sometimes the boring stuff matters most.

Clean bowl.

Fresh water. 💦

Every day.
