🐴💔 Help Me Give a Retired Racehorse a Second Chance 💔🐴

I was recently contacted about this sweet 20-year-old OTTB (Off-the-Track Thoroughbred) — a stunning grey around 17 hands tall with the kindest soul. 🤍

He’s gentle, patient, and still has so much heart left to give. Unfortunately, he’s been living with a foot injury that needs proper farrier care and attention — something we can provide here at MC Horsemanship. He’s also battling melanoma, a common but manageable condition in grey horses. Through the right care, feed, and love, he can live comfortably and happily for years to come. 🕊️

Our goal is to raise $850 to bring him home and get him started on his journey to healing.
• 💵 $700 will go toward purchasing and transporting him
• 🌾 $150 will cover his first round of feed, supplements, and care essentials

Meet Bentley — aka “Bean”
This handsome gray overo gelding is looking for his perfect match!
Bean is with us on consignment and ready to find a forever home where he can thrive and have a job to do.

Quick Facts:
• Age: 10 years old
• Height: 14.3hh
• Discipline: Barrel racing, play days, trails
• Neck reins and has more go than woah
• Excellent ground manners
• Currently in a tune-up
• UTD on coggins, teeth, feet, etc.

Maintenance:
• Requires yearly stifle injections Equioxx
• Best suited for a home where he can stay active and have a job

Bean is a forward, fun ride with tons of potential. He’s looking for an intermediate/experienced rider who can keep him moving and give him the purpose he loves.

Meet Lady
In January, Lady was just moments away from being loaded onto a slaughter truck bound for Mexico. Her past is a mystery—but her future is full of hope.

Lady arrived at MC Horsemanship at the end of January, and she’s been nothing short of a sweetheart. We’ve discovered she’s completely blind in her right eye, but it doesn’t need to be removed and doesn’t slow her down one bit.

Here’s what we know about this lovely lady:
• Age: 18–20 years old
• UTD on teeth, vaccines & coggins
• Loads, ties, stands for the farrier
• Broke to ride, but needs more weight and a refresher under saddle
• Currently not being ridden to allow her to gain weight—refreshers coming soon!

She is kind, calm, and just waiting for the right person to give her a forever home. A contract will be required for adoption.
