Meet Melissa Hoskins, the proud owner and heart behind Best Grooming!

Best Grooming began with a God-given dream, a lifelong love for animals, and Melissa’s desire to use the gifts God gave her to serve others. Guided by her biblical faith, she believes that the way we care for His creation matters — and that every dog entrusted to her deserves to be treated with patience, kindness, dignity, and genuine compassion.

That belief shaped Best Grooming from the very beginning.

Melissa wanted to create something different from the traditional grooming salon experience. Best Grooming was designed around private, individualized appointments, providing a peaceful, clean environment where each dog can receive the personal attention and care they deserve without the stress and commotion often found in a busy salon.

For Melissa, grooming has never been simply about giving a dog a great haircut. It’s about building trust with the dog in front of her, understanding their individual needs, helping them feel safe and comfortable, and developing lasting relationships with the families who entrust their pets to our care.

What began as a dream has grown into something much greater — a business that allows Melissa to combine her love for animals, her commitment to excellence, and her heart for serving people every single day.

Above all, Melissa considers Best Grooming a blessing and an opportunity to reflect the love of Christ through the way she serves her clients, cares for their pets, supports her team, and gives back to the community around her.

She continues to trust God with the direction and growth of Best Grooming while remaining committed to the purpose it was founded upon:

Grooming Technician | Best Grooming

We’re excited to introduce Alaly Leonard, our longest-serving team member here at Best Grooming!

While Alaly may be the youngest member of our team, she has been with us longer than any of our other employees and has had the opportunity to grow right alongside Best Grooming. During that time, she has become an important part of our day-to-day operation while continuing to develop her skills and knowledge of professional dog grooming.

As a Grooming Technician, Alaly has gained hands-on experience bathing and blow-drying dogs and has continued learning about professional clippers, grooming tools, shears, and the techniques that go into properly caring for different dogs and coat types.

What stands out about Alaly is her willingness to learn, her strong work ethic, and the pride she takes in doing her job well. She understands that caring for someone’s pet comes with responsibility, and she works to make sure the dogs entrusted to us feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout their time at Best Grooming.

Alaly has already set her sights on making this more than just a job. After high school, she plans to continue her education and training with the goal of becoming a professional groomer and turning her love for animals into a lifelong career.

We’ve had the privilege of watching Alaly grow personally and professionally, and we’re proud that Best Grooming gets to be part of the foundation she’s building for her future.

🐾 MEET THE TEAM — COURTNEY QUIGLEY 🐾
Groomer | Best Grooming

We’re excited to introduce Courtney Quigley, one of the talented groomers here at Best Grooming!

Courtney’s journey into grooming actually began with people. In 2012, she attended cosmetology school, where she discovered a love for working with hair, creativity, and helping others look and feel their best. A few years later, she found a way to combine those skills with something she had loved her entire life — animals — and discovered her true calling in pet grooming.

Growing up, Courtney dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. While her path ultimately led somewhere different, grooming gave her the opportunity to work closely with the animals she loves while helping them feel healthier, more comfortable, and confident. Her experience has included working with both dogs and horses, giving her an appreciation for animals of all shapes, sizes, and personalities.

Dogs hold an especially important place in Courtney’s heart — and she’ll be the first to tell you that pitties are her spirit animal! At home, that love continues with her own two dogs, Romeo, a Mastiff/Shepherd mix, and Lyra, her Yorkie-Pin.

Courtney is also committed to continuing to grow professionally. Looking ahead, she has a particular interest in expanding her knowledge of pet massage, adding another skill that can contribute to the comfort and well-being of the animals entrusted to her care.

For Courtney, grooming is about much more than a haircut. It’s an opportunity to combine creativity, skill, and compassion while helping each dog leave Best Grooming looking good, feeling good, and knowing they were cared for.

Grooming Technician | Best Grooming

We’re excited to introduce Lillian Pashley, one of the dedicated members of the Best Grooming team!

As a Grooming Technician, Lillian plays an important role in both the care of our clients’ dogs and the day-to-day operation of the shop. She works closely alongside Melissa, helping manage client calls and appointments while also bathing, drying, and preparing each pup for their grooming experience.

Lillian has a genuine passion for working with dogs and is committed to continuing her professional development. She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Dog Grooming Program, where she is expanding her knowledge and hands-on skills as she works toward becoming a professional groomer.

What stands out most about Lillian is the care she brings to work every day. Whether she’s helping a client, keeping the schedule moving, or pampering a pup, she approaches her work with patience, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.

Most importantly, she treats every dog entrusted to us with the same kindness and care she would want for her own.

We’re proud to have Lillian as part of the Best Grooming family and excited to watch her continue to grow in her career! 🐾
