A couple weeks ago, a group of Highland 5th graders spent part of their day doing something that may have seemed small to them, but meant everything to us & our rescue animals. 🩵🐾
The students visited the rescue, brought so many donations, and spent lots of time loving on our pets. For rescue animals, even a little extra attention can completely change their week, so we are incredibly appreciative of them spending the afternoon with us!
Their teacher, Heather Fay, is already part of our rescue family since her husky Bella comes to daycare with us often, which made the visit even more special. ✨
We would LOVE to do more visits like this in the future. Whether it’s schools coming to the rescue for field trips or us bringing adoptable animals to classrooms, these experiences help the animals get socialization and even help lead to adoptions!
If you’re a teacher, school, youth group, or know someone who would love to partner with us, please reach out. We would love to set something up! 🩵
