We knew Ollie needed some serious TLC when he arrived at Fabled Farm. What we didn’t know was that our 25-year-old mini donkey came equipped with his own sound system. 😂🫏

He’s discovering the joys of butt scratches, ear scratches, and having people around who are happy to spoil him. He’s also making sure everyone within a five-mile radius knows exactly how he feels about it.

Ollie still has plenty of weight to gain, but his personality is getting bigger by the day. And we are absolutely loving getting to know this silly little old man. ❤️🔊

Sound ON. You’ve been warned.

Good morning from Poppy and Posie’s new barn! 🐐❤️

The girls spent their very first night in their new barn, and this morning they got to come out and explore their big new yard! There was plenty of investigating, a little breakfast, and lots of checking out their new surroundings.

This project has been especially important because of Poppy’s mobility challenges. We wanted to create an area where both girls could have plenty of room to explore and play while making sure Poppy could comfortably navigate her surroundings.

We’re not quite finished yet! Our next project is building custom playground equipment designed around Poppy’s mobility needs, with platforms and activities at heights she can safely access so she can enjoy them right alongside Posie.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, painted, built fences, cleared land, and helped make this possible. Seeing these two enjoying their new space makes all that hard work worth it. ❤️And we can’t wait to show you what comes next!

Herbie had his first veterinary exam, and we finally have some answers about our tiny new arrival. ❤️🐷

Our veterinarian was able to rule out injury and infection as the cause of his neurological symptoms and vision problems. Herbie has some physical abnormalities in his eyes, and his neurological differences are most likely congenital, meaning he was born with them. Unfortunately, these conditions are expected to be permanent.

The good news is that Herbie is active, eating well, and learning to navigate his surroundings. At just four pounds, he has a lot of growing to do, and our focus will be on helping him adapt to his disabilities while providing the specialized care and nutrition he needs.

Herbie also made it VERY clear that he had some strong opinions about the entire examination. 😂 This little guy may be tiny, but he certainly isn’t lacking in personality!

Herbie is now part of Fanta’s Fighter Fund, and we’re looking forward to helping him grow and thrive. ❤️

Our newest little arrival has been settling in, and we’re starting to learn more about him. ❤️🐷

We noticed pretty quickly that he has a significant head tilt, frequently walks in circles and appears to have some vision loss. We don’t know exactly what is going on yet, so a veterinary visit is next on the list to hopefully give us some answers.

The good news? He is active, curious and EATING!

Pan feeding is still very much a work in progress and an incredibly messy one, but getting good nutrition into this tiny body is our biggest priority right now.

And this little guy officially has a name. Meet Herbie. ❤️We’ll share what we learn after his vet visit.

Ollie had his vet visit, and we got some encouraging news about our little old man! ❤️🫏

His heart and lungs sounded good, and despite having lost so many teeth, there are no signs of infection in his gums. His bloodwork showed that he is a little anemic, which wasn’t surprising considering how underweight he is, but everything else looked good.

The biggest thing Ollie needs now is exactly what we’ve been working on: time and good nutrition. His vet wants us to continue his refeeding plan, slowly increasing his intake while keeping him on the specialty feed that is easier for him to eat with so few teeth.

And because he is Ollie, he was an absolute gentleman for his entire appointment. 🥹

We still have a lot of weight to put on this little guy, and we’re taking it slowly and carefully, but this was a very encouraging first report. ❤️

Meet our newest little emergency arrival. ❤️🐷

This tiny piglet was found wandering completely alone in a field. A wonderful couple stepped in to help and drove him several hours to meet us half way.

We already have some concerns about his vision and possible neurological issues, so there are definitely more questions than answers right now. Our first priority is getting him pan feeding so we can get some good nutrition into that little body. Then we can begin working with our veterinary team to figure out exactly what is going on and what he needs moving forward.

For now, he is safe, warm, and settling in. And yes, he is every bit as ridiculously cute as he looks. ❤️

We’ll share more as we learn more about our newest little guy.

Two Sweet Kittens Looking for Their Forever Homes ❤️🐱

Stormi and Seamus are officially ready for adoption! These two have come such a long way from the sick little kittens who arrived in our care, and watching them grow into happy, playful, healthy babies has been pretty special.

Both are sweet, social kittens who love people, enjoy other cats, and are always ready to play. They are litter box trained and looking for indoor only homes.

🐾 Stormi is spayed
🐾 Seamus is neutered
🐾 Both are current on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative

They do not have to be adopted together, so whether you have room for one new best friend or happen to be looking for double the kitten fun, we would love to hear from you!
